Farming Lowbies with High Level Perks Seems ... Wrong

I just played a match with three lowbies, I was the highest rank in the team. After the match which ended swiftly with a 4K I noted the killer was also of lowbie rank but had high grade perks, like the best ones you can get. The team I was with were all on one or maybe two YELLOW perks, the ones the survivor character comes with when played new. I understand the rank reset issue tends to go away after a few days as everyone climbs back to the rank they were before the reset.

But it seems wrong to farm people like this, in my opinion. Since I know killer mains are reading the forum I wondered what their opinion is of this. Please note I am not asking for a nerf or anything like that, but I felt it was unfair to the three newer players I was with that's all.

Just because you got the perks doesn't mean you're a skilled killer. Some people play survivor and use the bloodpoints to level their killer (those 20 min queues...).

Then maybe the ranking should be changed to a per character ranking, That means as a Rank 20 killer I should only get Rank 20 survivors. It would be based on rank earned while playing that particular character. It would stop bloodleveling as well.

In other MMOs I have seen the rank that the game uses to determine which group the player is matchmade with applies to an individual character... this means in my suggestion a killer who earned rank 10 playing nothing but Freddy would be a rank 20 if starting Pig new at level 1.

I am sure nobody would agree that is fair and would object to being forced to earn blood per character and not per player.

Thing is, a rank 10 killer player with a level 1 killer character will still destroy beginners. Same is true in the other direction.

Edit: Also the queues for grey rank killers are terrible even with the current matchmaking where you get matched with up to rank 7 (in my experience).

So the underlying issue assuming everything is left the same is a complete lack of low level survivors for new killers and likewise a lack of lowbie killers for new survivors. The matchmaking system will expand to make a match and in doing so will use players whose rank is higher than 14 (the six rank limit not applying to ranks 16-20 due to the excessive que times that would otherwise occur)

Experienced killer vs inexperienced survivors = perks make very little diffrence. Like getting thrown off the grand canyon vs getting thrown out of an airplane. I'd be thankful for a quicker death, personally.

    good 'ol matchmaking.

Who the hell would play survivor to level killers? Lol. Killers are the be all end all for BP.

I think its just a good indication that rank reset for all its noble aims is somewhat self defeating. More controversially why not eliminate the depip so you either pip or you dont. OK sure by the end of the month all the good or better players would be in the red ranks but ... the sheer number would surely improve que times?

I remember being accused of deranking when I first started because of perk lvls. Started playing Bubba right off the bat, with his BBQ giving me plenty of BPs. Had him about lvl 30 something by the time I hit rank 17 or so, and was using the rank 3 versions of his 3 perks, plus I think a rank 3 NOED.. Got accused of deranking, because there's no way I could've gotten rank 3 perks...even though I had no teachable perks clogging up my BW yet.

I play SWF which due to my friends rank put me in the rank 10-12 killer as the opposition. So I have a reasonable amount of experience playing survivor at higher ranks I just dont have the rank to do it solo. What I did notice was the matches were tougher obviously but I got some measure of satisfaction coming in third or second on the list with my rank 7 lower than some.

No Mercy for the weak. Especially if I'm gonna have to do these silly Archive Missions if I want a cool hat.

Yep on the queues. I haven't played killer very much for a LONG time, so I got dropped down to rank 18. Last night i did a bunch of matches as killer and got matched with survivors from rank 16 to 10 usually, with a rank 6 in one game (they completely stomped me in a chase, of course).
