Feature - Disconnection Penalties: Players who disconnect early from games will receive temporary matchmaking bans, with the duration escalating for repeat offenders.
As a solo player mainly frustrated with dcing teammates I can finally say that this is a pretty good job. Now just a rework to hook stages so that they can't be abused to evade DC punishments (and remove the dumb&painful hit your space buttom or you die) and we're golden.

I mean people are gonna stop Dc’ing.
They're just gonna kill themselves on hook now. You can’t really stop someone from leaving a DBD game.

Well at least this way they don't deny the killers BBQ stacks, pop goes the weasel, bloodpoints or emblems. Better this than nothing I guess.

But they can be stopped to kill themselfs too early. If hook stages are reworked as I suggested it'll look like normal player trying to survive so that killer will stay on guard and camping killers will lose games harder.
Also any change to discourage this behaviour is welcomed. Every other multiplayer game has a system to punish DCing so why DBD should be single game in existence where people who don't have "fun" should be allowed to ruin fun of 4 other players.

Would it be considered holding the game hostage if all 4 survivors want to kill themselves, but you didnt wanna kill them and they didnt do generators they just kept running up on you?
