Proof of auto-aim and broken hit detection


The video shows multiple things :

  • Killer's swing extends upwards and downwards to the point where the survivors feet can be above the killer's head or the killers feet above the survivor's head and the hit will still connect.
  • There is a huge amount of auto-aim. The game starts moving me forward immediately upon doing a quick attack.
  • Billy's chainsaw doesn't work on stairs if the survivor is crouching.

Mainly I want to discuss the game automatically pulling the killer forward and frantically turning the camera. This is usually disregarded by the devs as "the game trying to make the hit look better". But the problem here is that many of the hits that it starts adjusting for would NOT connect without adjusting anything. Tons of people also disregard bs hits as high latency, but as I'm showing here that's not always the case.

I feel like these things result in many unfair feeling hits and this should be addressed in one way or another.
