Oni Gets Free Tracking VS Survivors?
Is this true? If so, how long do the blood orbs stay around, it seems like they don’t go away so far.
This seems like a big hit to solo survivors if true.
Furthermore, is there any point of the perk Predator on Oni?

It also means, that you can just use that to never lose a chase no matter the skill level and immersion of a survivor, soo that answers my question.

I believe his ultra rare add-on should be addressed. It's like the Plague's black incense but Oni actually has map pressure. Might be too strong right now. Granted I hope they nerf nothing else about his kit. His addons are the only real issue.

Plague doesn’t leave around floating material in the middle of my view as a killer, so yes I feel like it is different from Plague, not by much but enough to track more consistently.
Also you have to cleanse to give Plague her Corrupt Purge or put an add-on, as for Oni, all I have to do is keep following the survivor once they’re injured. like that’s all I need to do to power up.

I think what they're trying to say is that Oni's tracking ability directly synergises with him activiating his secondary power (in the sense that his tracking is essentially what charges his power) in a way that Plague's doesn't, which makes him a more formidable opponent.

IMO blood orb auras shouldn't be seen by Oni except within very close range like 4m. It'd make it a bit harder to get his power (which by some accounts is overpowered) and would make it so you can actually lose him in a chase.
Then have his pink add-on extend the range greatly but survivors can also see blood orbs or whatever.

Predator is good on Spirit but other than that yeah.
As far as Oni goes I agree with his issues are mostly addons. That aura reading pink one is insane both in an LoS loop/chase and because he has map pressure whereas Plague doesn't.

But blood orbs are hidden when he activates the power, meaning that their tracking capabilities are not effective anymore once you’re strongest.
I think it’s a good enough balance for now

100% sure, Oni will be nerfed enough because of "forum surv mains" like you all.

I agree that he's balanced, I wasn't making a point of my own, just trying to help sort out the confusion around a point someone else was trying to make.

Survivors always bleed. Survivors always grunt while injured unless they have iron will. Using your eyes and ears takes literally so skill whatsoever. Oni has literally no advantage.

They don't really help. You leave scratch marks behind while in a chase so that's why you won't lose sight of a survivor. The blood orbs can be as old as 2-3 minutes meaning you may end up looking in spots no survivor has visited for ages.
Remember the survivor has to already be injured to leave orbs meaning you have blood pools and loud audio noises to find them, the orbs are not a reliable "locating" tool.

Except that, with either Yui's new perk, or Steve's Babysitter perk, they DON'T always bleed. Add Iron will to that, with UE, Poised, LW, DWM, to the mix, and tracking becomes a pain in the @$$. Honestly, that's likely why the aura reading bits were added, as well as the hemorrhage perk. To balance out the anti-bleed builds that are going to result.

Let's not jump the gun and nerf another Killer before he goes live/right after he goes live?
Nothing about him seems OP to me, but too most these forms 'He killed me' = OP.
So please, Devs; can we have ONE viable Killer? It could be a holiday miracle!

Maybe not, but any killer worth their salt watches for crows. Orbs + flying crows = recent survivor movement. Don't even need Spies for them to be effect tattletales, and as I stated in another response on this thread, there are at least 4-5 perks that erase red scratches or negate them, so that's not an effective measure to follow either. You need to follow the actual survivor and learn to predict their flight paths.

Killers already had a means of tracking injured survivors in the form of blood pools that get left behind.

No, it really doesn't. Blood orbs are hardly a reliable way of tracking. A smart survivor can actually use them very deceptively, like teabagging in front of lockers and windows to spurt blood all over them. An oni trying to track by blood will probably waste time vaulting and looking in lockers.
