Survivors De-Pip When Killer Disconnects

Hey there DBD community,

I currently play on Xbox One, although I played on PlayStation 4 for the longest time. One HUGE problem I've noticed between both platforms is that, when the killer disconnects, more often than not, the survivors will lose a pip. Today for instance, I was at rank 11 when I logged on. I'm now at 10, even though I've pipped every single match--except those where the killer disconnected. I don't think it's fair that I'm being penalized for the killer leaving early.

Does anyone else have the same issue?

    Was running towards the open exit when the killer DC'd. Not only did I not get survival points buts also lost my items when I was about 6 steps from exiting with no killer around.
