Camper Stats
If I see a camping killer below rank 12 get 0 or 1 kill, I'll often time message them after the game (PS4) and explain what camping is, and give them some tips to avoid feeling like they need to do it. (I purposefully avoid the - "its not fun for survivors" talk)
However, I find lately I need to do this less and less... not because I'm finding campers fewer and fewer, but because the strategy does seem to yield at least 2 kills at most ranks, which falls right in line with BHVR's goal it would seem. (Which isn't a goal I particularly approve of, FWIW)
I don't think BHVR has ever addressed the (really effective) strategy of hard camping the first hook out of the match, then playing aggressively. What do you think the % of actual campers that end up in 2k and 3k games would be if we were able to get those numbers.
(Since I know this will be brought up - these stats could be collected, it'd be a matter of putting in some formula for 'time on hook vs proximity of killer' but those stats are just harder to quantify and more resource intensive than post-game stats, and since its a BHVR approved strategy, I don't see why they would bother to try to calculate this)
