Kind of over these challenges

I don’t like to be a negative person, so when I saw the preview of the 4th tome a while back I held out hope they’d make some changes after there was a lot of negative feedback from people that don’t have the time and or skill to do some of these challenges. It doesn’t look like they plan on having a doable path for working/casual players in the later tomes.

I was really excited when they introduced the archives because the idea of something to work for constantly and being encouraged to play different builds to do these challenges sounded fun. Now it seems like unless you’re one of the people that plays this game for a living or you just have a ton of free time, getting through this tome isn’t looking fun or realistic. I work two jobs right now, the first survivor challenge would probably take me a week or more to complete since I’m gonna be competing with other teammates for saves and I don’t have hours on hours to wait in lobbies and try and get these done.

It sucks because they had such a great idea with the archives, and it’s fantastic for those who like I said, play for a living. But for me who can play only a few hours a week right now, I’m not going to really bother with doing these past the first one. Hopefully I’ll make it through the rift just playing normally, because if I can’t play often I’m not going to make myself miserable trying to get these done and get my money’s worth from the rift pass. I’m just gonna play for fun like I always have, which means not worrying about these challenges.

Hopefully in the future they’ll consider having a better layout that offers challenges that anyone can complete while still having the path branch off with harder options for those who want them.
