Console Red Ranks.
Can we talk about the lack of people playing Killers in the red ranks on PS4 I'm waiting up to 15 to 20 minutes for a game.

I'm a red rank killer and I meet a lot of red ranks killer myself on Switch

I have the same experience on PS4 UK.
I have played more survivor than killer since the Archive challenges have more for survivor than killer.
Also killer feels unrewarding; it’s always a stressful experience and often I don’t gain rank for the effort put in.
Survivor I can relax and even if I die, I will still gain rank.
The matchmaker also can be within 6 ranks I am told by devs and I will often get a full team of rank 4s against my rank 10 killer, or vice versa where I’m a rank 4 survivor with a team of rank 4/5s and against a rank 10 killer.
It doesn’t feel very good to win or lose in such uneven games.
I’ve seen some red rank killers but I just don’t think there’s enough for all the survivor players, my format and region at least; time of day doesn’t affect my queue times for either side much.

Im a red rank on xbox and it's the same, it takes forever to find a match as a survivor. I'm NOT excited about the new rank reset, it will take me back to purple and i will still have a hard time finding matches, eventually going back to red and having an even harder time finding matches.

Yeah. Add a bunch of killer dodges because items and cosmetics and it's not much fun playing survivor. It takes forever.
Killer isn't so bad. Definitely more stressful. But more balanced than it used to be.

Yeah I keep hearing the same thing. I haven’t played DBD going on 3 weeks now and from what I understand, the survivor queue times at upwards of 20 minutes, sometimes only to get dodged and have to wait again.
You might want to start asking why though. Are killers not being rewarded accordingly, is it just too stressful to play red rank games as Killer, or have people just got burnt out or even like myself, found something new to play?

I'm rank 2 and finding matches from 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Normally it's like 5 minutes but I don't think I've ever waited more than 10.

Well including a dodge or three I've gone past 10 minutes but that's not the game's fault.

I play killer on both console and PC because my friends are split among the platforms. So here is my point of view. I have no issue playing red ranks on PC. Thanks to the mouse sensitivity (and aim accel), and optimization it isn't a big deal. But comparatively, console is a miserable experience. Constant frame drops (getting 360'd at 15 fps never gets old), extremely low controller sensitivity, etc. Who wants to slog through red ranks with that experience, especially just to end up getting teabagged at the exit gate and/or sent ######### messages if you actually manage to win. Console killer is about as fun as pulling teeth in the red ranks.
I'm pretty sure most dedicated killers sit around green and purple ranks. Until the game is optimized, don't expect this to change.

Playing against red rank survivors on PS4 is a miserable ######### experience. Not my fault I don't wanna play at a rank that high.

It takes me a while to find survivor matches at red ranks, but I feel it's worth it because I actually enjoy matches there. People *usually* know what they're doing and do gens.
