He hasn't been reworked yet, the changed descriptions are in the game by mistake. It's listed as a "Known Issue" in the Patch Notes.

We literally know nothing but the text, not how it functions ingame. It could be a nerf, or a massive buff. We need too wait till it's out before we say "OP" or "UP"

Potential to be an add-on (with varying degrees of stun time and other effects)
Maybe part of the Hallucinations de-buff as we're yet to know what it does.
It's too soon to assume it's a down-right nerf when it's not even on the PTR.

Depending on if Static Blast makes survivors scream or not this is an absolute buff. If this is the case Whispers+Static Blast you will ALWAYS find survivors.

They really shouldn't take the stun out of his base kit he'd be so much weaker

I just wondered because the last I heard about it was the most recent Q&A stream, in which they were asked whether the Doctor would be buffed and they said their intention wasn't to buff him so much as make QOL adjustments to make him more fun to play both as and against. But that didn't seem to me like they were planning to make him weaker, just different.

first of all, survivors affected by his shock can not do anything for 2 seconds at minimum, increasing the time to 2.5 is not a nerf. if it is currently 2.5 seconds then it still is not a nerf what so ever. also if illusionary pallets are being seen without an addon that's a buff. what part of these two says "NERF"??? I don't think any one thought that through. and doc is one of those that do not have the right number of add on items either. just like nurse did not so till they actually announce anything don't start calling nerf to everything without cause.

Ya I dont remember when or where man just I saw one of the Devs mention he would be weaker. Not exactly to what extent because I dislike Doctor so I didn't care honestly enough to pry into it. Was surprised I even bothered to mention it to a friend or remembered it for this thread.

All you folks saying it's a nerf, stop jumping to conclusions! The adjustments of doctor's abilities isn't even out yet. Hell, they didn't even release the FULL PATCH NOTES for him, for gods sake! So sit down and be patient, you can say how op or underpowered it is WHEN his entire rework is shown.
Btw, the few second delay of the survivor not being able to do anything wasn't listed in the original power description either. Never knew about it till a guide told me about it's existence.

Accurate. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with the Doctor. His power is fun to use in some ways, but I think it could be a lot better to play as and against.
Currently, Madness 1 and Madness 2 feel like they hardly have any real effect on survivors without add-ons, apart from screaming. The hallucinations obviously don't fool anyone, and the random skillchecks become less and less useful as you play against more experienced survivors. But the random skillchecks are also really annoying when I play against the Doctor. So it's competitively weak and really annoying to play against; to me, as a Doctor main, that sounds like a mechanic which should be removed.
I'm hoping they make Madness 2 more threatening, and make Treatment mode a little more interesting/less awkward to use.

To be fair, I don't think the hallucinations were ever supposed to fool anyone. I think they're primarily meant to be a way of tracking the survivors. I do agree that he could use some changes and minor buffs, however. I too am looking forward to seeing what they do with him. They have proved in the past with Freddy that they know how to do a rework right, so I'm still holding out hope for Doc.

I hate playing against doctor. I think he is just terrible design from day one. So now, not only will we have a killer who can teach survivors while in madness with illusions, find survivors who are hiding with shock therapy, he will be a legit slowdown killer too.
He just seems completely counter to what this game is about. If they're going to make it so easy for him to track and find surivors, they should drop his base movement a bit.
