What do you think happened to Akito's playmate and parents?
In the lore Akito who is the son of Kazan fell from a tree and Kazan took his frustration out on Akito's playmate and their family.Imo he didn't go as far as to kill the kid, but he did have some kind of punishment.And as far as his parents go, probably both were tortured and probably had their legs snapped like his son's leg did.

Ah I see, it's not in his official "lore" but rather the lore from his addons.
I think it's definitely possible that Kazan killed the child and their family as some kind of retribution, especially if this happened after his "fall from grace".

Personally, I think the injury Akito suffered caused Kazan to lose his grip on his honor and Samurai mentality. Pair that with the Entity nudging him along the path of corrupt honor and you have the reason for the Oni's rage and hatred of fake samurai.

The description leaves it intentionally vague.
Depending on what social class they were Kazan could have straight up murdered them all and not been punished for it (Samurai couldn't commit crimes against peasants), but assuming they were fellow nobility they probably just lost face when Kazan made a big deal out of it.
Also according to the description of Akito's Crutch, Akito's playmate was a girl, not a boy.
