So many toxic killers
At rank 1 as a survivor I expect to deal with long queue times, OP addons, going against Spirit every few games, what I don't expect to deal with are campers and tunnelers . I expect campers and tunnelers at rank 15, as they don't know any better.
While my motto that it's not killers job to make the game fun for survivors (and vice versa), if a killer wants to play basement camping Leatherface, he's in the right to as it's his choice. But last night nearly every game the killer chose to play toxic. I could understand matchmaking putting me in one or two lobbies of toxic killers, but last night matchmaking kept putting me in lobbies where the killer wanted to play like an arse.
Examples of the games I had, was a rank 2 pig camping with an ebony mori, a P3 Trapper that decided to face-camp despite us having a disconnect making it a 3v1, and a lag switching trapper (On PS4 we don't have dedicated servers yet).
Just to sum it up, my favourite game of last night was against a P3 Spirit.
The only benefit of playing at rank 1 is that normally you'll be going against good/decent and challenging killers, it's rewarding when you're able to juke and loop long for a long period of time.
EDIT: Before I get comment saying it's another post by survivor who is complaining about being camped, for the majority of the toxic killer games, I was actually playing well and was not personally on the receiving end of being the one being camped.

That plot twist at the end D:

Doubt it was a lagswitch. They are hard to make and are difficult to use on consoles. Point taken tho
1 -
Do you play killer at red ranks too?
0 -
All I see is you running Windows of Opportunity at Rank 1.
Is this Bizarro world? @.@
3 -
I know you can lag switch on the PS4, and I know how they do it (not going to say how on the forums).
I use to, despite always being a survivor main but when I first got to rank 1 as a killer it was a month (August 2018) before I was able to get to rank 1 as a survivor (September 2018).
EDIT: I still play both sides, as a survivor I personally don't bring in keys as along with Moris as they need to be looked at. Despite my play style is referred to toxic, as it involves distracting the killers, I rarely t bag, spam flashlight, or other BM's.

I use windows so I know which pallets have been used by other survivors, I've lost count the amount times I've gone to areas expecting a pallet to be there only for it to have already been used. In my opinion it's a very underrated perk for chase route planning.

And another post @Weck ill keep you updated on every post about camping which you believe dont exist in high ranks

For a killer is impossible to win without camping slugging or tunneling.
Sadly this game is balanced around rank 15 and thats all they can do. Ofc there are few exception players with tons of hours rekting out there but still..
1 -
it's been the opposite for me, I get nothing but gen rushing toxic survivors at red ranks. I love missing one attack and loose 5 gens. When I play survivor I rarely have toxic killers.
0 -
I never said that.
And honestly, thus behaviour only further cements my opinion of you. Pathetic
1 -
Good point. But as a side point don't you get similar information from Bond?. What I mean is that Bond gives you greater situational awareness overall.
To be more specific, I tend to know what areas chases have happened in and know if I get into a chase to stay away from those areas, that couple with knowing where or at least having an idea where to move to next is usually enough.
I guess I'm just curious on your opinion because maybe in prolonged chases is when you find it most beneficial?
0 -
You now call someone pathetic for showing you proof of something you outright deny in other comments so whos the pathetic one really?

Camping isn't "toxic".
It's like saying gen rushing or looping is toxic.
You're complaining about getting camped every game but not running kindered?
Gen time is 80s, hook time is 120s. Run kindered so your teammates know to just slam gens.
2 -
You expect people to not use viable strategies?
0 -
Well are killers toxic if they use ebony and/or camp/tunnel I wonder?
In my mindset no. I also dont say survs are toxic if they bring in flashs or toolboxes or offerings. So I dont get this thread. Just sounds to me you had some bad games. fbm

Literally tagging me in multiple threads while pretending my opinion is different from what I said? Specially since I already corrected you on this?
Still you.
0 -
No? Play a strong one and you're not forced to play boring.

As I mentioned in my original post I personally wasn't the one being camped, and in the image you the see the person being facecamped by the P3 trapper did have kindred. I personally hold an expectation that rank 2 killers shouldn't be camping. Does a rank 2 really need to camp in a 3v1 or with an ebony mori?
And I have already mentioned I'm a big believer in that the killer can do whatever they like as long as they find it fun. I personally facecamp every Elvis Hair Nea (Nea with the close cut) I go against. I'm not saying that every red rank killer is a camper, this post is about matchmaking putting against a killer that wanted to play in that way.
You have point bond is useful in that aspect but I'll sometimes forget what areas where pallets have been. Yes, my build is mainly to help me in prolonged chases, and I mainly use bond to help me avoid running to jungle gyms and areas where people are working on generators.
1 -
Yeah that sucks, but I think you have a good mentality about it.
Just keep going, it won't be like that most days, people at high tier are just struggling a lot of the time with matches and start caving to using mori's and more dirty playstyles because they don't know what else to do.
0 -
Camping, tunneling and mori's, while not necessarily the most fun to go against (if you take the game that seriously) are 100% NOT toxic. Toxic is an attitude and mindset. Not a playstyle. That's like saying throwing down a pallet and stunning a killer is toxic.
1 -
I've been doing a lot of perkless, addonless wraith games at rank 1 and I can confidently say it is IMPOSSIBLE to 4k without camping, slugging, or tunneling. There is literally no time to do 12 chases, when even 1 chase through a strong area can cost you 2+ gens. You have to clear out some pallets near the gens you want, hook someone near it, and camp that area. That's the only way I have been able to consistently win with it.
1 -
It is not impossible. Even with addonless Wraith.
1 -
You are right. The survivors could just be terrible. But i'm talking about good survivors who actually know how to loop, know all the infinities, rocking every second chance perk available, etc etc.
0 -
Again, even good survivors make mistakes. It is not in any sense of the word impossible. Unbelievably and ridiculously difficult? Definitely. Not impossible.
In fact, we all watched Marth do an iron wraith challenge a couple years back (when killer life was even more difficult than now, and Wraith was even less powerful than he is now), with no perks or addons from rank 20 to rank 1. Without camping or tunneling.
1 -
Uhhh Marth camps, slugs, and tunnels religiously in his new "hardcore" dbd challenge. So I don't buy it bud. BTW, rank 1 was much easier to get a few years ago.
0 -
This was a specific challenge, to 4K every game. So he did it the easiest way possible. Different situation entirely and the comparison means nothing.
As for his previous challenge - while pipping up to rank 1 was easier back then, playing Wraith, and killer as a whole was SIGNIFICANTLY harder at that time. So no, not impossible "bud". Stop trying to make excuses.
1 -
Well ... I mean out there are so many toxic Survivor's too... :/ My Opinion is toxic Survivor's created toxic Killer's most of the time.
1 -
Back in the day killers had some ridiculously overpowered things as well. Like mori's from first down. Old dying light + remember me was the best and most toxic combo in the game.
You could also AFK all game, NOED 4 people at the end, and that was a pip up.
I stand by that you can only win without doing it if the survivors are bad, when the game is played as close to a stock M1 killer as possible. Fortunately, most survivors are, even at red ranks. But when you hit those 3-4k hour survivors who have every tile memorized? Yeah, no. M1 killer isn't good enough for that.
0 -
One side didn't create another side. Toxic people in general just exist.
It's an attitude/mindset. It's not something one develops.
3 -
Not everytime but sometimes.Besides that Camping and Tunneling isn't toxic in my opinion.
0 -
^This. Toxic survivors love to talk ######### about killers while trying to act like they didn't have anything to do with it.
1 -
This was in early 2018. Mori's were still after one hook. This was more or less right before killers got some sorely needed QOL changes that put them anywhere near where they are today. He did the same thing with perkless, addonless Freddy at around that time as well. You going to tell me he got terrible survivors every single game? Perks and addons have no place in your argument here - cause he did it perkless and addonless.
Killers, while still grossly underpowered, are in the most balanced placed they have ever been in this game. Just because you're not good enough to do it doesn't make it impossible.
0 -
Yes. If you were dying in 2018 to old freddy you were just terrible. I think that's when all the maps had double the (vaccum) pallets and was before the exhaustion nerf as well so you had multiple sprints bursts during chase.
0 -
Oh and old DS so you had a completely free extra life as well.

Don't ever make the assumption that rank = skill. Rank = playtime for survivors.
There's rank 1 survivors I see who can barely run a basic loop, never look behind them, and basically just hold W in chase. There's also rank 1 survivors who have every single tile memorized and you will literally not be able to M1 them until you have burned through every safe pallet in the area.

In my experience red rank killers are either really good or really scummy. Very common to get camped or tunnelled off of hooks. It's unfortunate for sure, but the game allows it. I think that's partially why a lot of people don't like being in the red rank and why it's extra toxic.
1 -
Oh it’s possible I ran into a guy who admitted to lag switching on Xbox just because it doesn’t seem like they can’t doesn’t mean they can’t does however make me wonder why people do such a thing to gain the advantage but it gets me when they don’t pay attention to ping In lobby then wrongly accuse someone of lag switching when they don’t Iv had that happen to me before and Iv never lag switched because I’d like to play the game normally and win if I win lose if I lose
0 -
I'm just saying that in 2018 you could still 1v1 the killer as a survivor, and pretty easily as well. Up until the BL nerf you could still 1v1 the killer this whole year.
If marth was 4king all the time they were probably just bad, doesn't matter what rank it was at.
0 -
Possible? Yes. Easy? No. It takes effort that most people aren't willing to put in.
Most people who get accused of lagswitching are just lagging :/
0 -
I don't understand why people want others to play a certain way because of made up rules. Survivors/Killers can utilize whatever they can to increase their chance to win as long as it falls with in what is allowed by the game/BHVR.
0 -
Same every season. I get to purple ranks and the killers are downright nasty. I’m trying to try my best for my fellow survivors but derank at the same time. It’s a pain. Most high rank killers in solo survivor console are the worst. Keyword: Most.
0 -
Perks aren’t what define you as good, not every good survivor runs the perks you deem as second chance perks.
0 -
Camping is toxic, especially facecamping. It may lose you the game but it also guarantees one survivor can't escape which is totally unfair for the guy on hook
0 -
No it isn't. Just because you don't like it does not make it toxic. Guaranteeing the death of a survivor is literally the objective of the killer. Camping is a legitimate playstyle. Whether you like it or not.

You want to hear toxic, listen to what grandpa blind mole is going to tell you :
Been playing nurse on ps4 for shits and giggles, rank 15 often paired with 11-10's.
Don't use ruin, don't use noed, it goes like you think it would. They t bag the ######### out of me, and send private messages of how much of a noob i am, laughing and gloating. Gamers.....

Leave red ranks. Their not worth the blood pressure
0 -
Who's saying that?? I mean I've had more experiences with toxic survivors rather than toxic killers, but still, I've never heard anyone say that.

Anyone anyone? Not even one person?
