Reminder. Demogorgon is still a Killer worth playing.
Just because there is a new kid on the block doesn't mean you all should forget about our little meat flower child. The Demogorgon is still (in my opinion) very much a fun Killer to play as/against and one that is viable for most ranks.
Can Demo be looped? Yeah, all Killers can be looped. But the Demo has a unique advantage from his Shred being a super lunge. Long walls are a threat to Survivors as well as bottlenecks leading towards windows/pallets. The Demo will either land a hit with Shred where no other Killer could or simply force the Survivor to dodge slowing their pathing to land a basic M1. Either way, the Demo ends most of the stronger loops much faster such a jungle gyms or the Killer shack and several other main buildings. You can even hit Survivors BEFORE they reach common loops where no other Killer but Nurse/Huntress could dream of doing. Either by landing the Shred itself or forcing a dodge to get close enough for a M1.
This is something almost no other Killer can do. Ending loops faster or outright preventing them is one hell of a strength. Shred does have downsides, but the pros far overcome the cons without having to sacrifice anything. The Demo on top of Shred also has great map pressure.
Once you place a tunnel network, you can be anywhere at any time. Placing a tunnel on a gen, is often a bad idea. Very bad and does nothing. But placing tunnels near gens often means you can be on top of people before they see you. And you have a number of add-ons to buff your tunnels. Temporary stealth, very fast map travel, and minor (not worth it) AOE detection. The better you can place and use your tunnels, the more total map wide pressure you will have. Something very few Killers have! And that's on top of having Shred! If Survivors ignore your tunnels, they allow you to have insane map pressure. If they destroy your tunnels, they waste time. It's a win win in my book.
My current build is Save the Best for Last, Surge, Surveillance, and Ruin. If you get the chance, I highly suggest giving the Demogorgon some much needed love. Most "popular" people tend to have negative opinions about him. He goes RAWR!

I love Demoman's aesthetic, and the portals are oddly satisfying to use. In my experience, the portals are best placed on gens in order to detect people around them, thus cutting down search time. Save the best for last is his best perk by far. Shred is great for many situations, but the fact that it lets you hit the obsession essentially for free makes me happy.

Hell yeah boi. He's one of my favourite killers to play right now, the amount of outplay/mindgame potential from his Shred (for both sides) is really fun and engaging to me. Even his mobility is a back and forth, and there's plenty both sides can do with it. And landing good Shreds is just really satisfying.
My build for him rn is Corrupt Intervention (for some portal set-up time), PGTW, BBQ and Enduring.

I love playing against demo but i only get spirits and if im lucky huntress.. red ranks Is becoming very unfun and boring in my opinion.

Demogorgon isn't a bad killer, he's pretty good, the problem is that he's too loud. The second a survivor hears you shred or miss an attack, they all get on gens and you get gen rushed.

You're not wrong lol. I dipped into a tiny bit of solo surv earlier at rank 2 and got 3 Spirits, and then an Iri Head Huntress.
I was like ok back to killer.

I'm still not fond of it at all. His power is pulled in too many directions and he doesn't do any one of them better than other killers.
His shred is useful in a chase, but it's telegraphed and survivors can dodge it pretty easily. A lot of the time it's just not worth losing the ground a missed shred loses when you could wait 3 seconds and lunge instead.
His portals are really bad for mobility. Unlike other mobile killers, he has to walk to where he wants to go the first time. To use one he has to take the time to place another, and doesn't have enough to place them willy nilly.
He has tracking, but only when survivors can see the portal and KNOW they can be tracked, so the value of that is pretty minimal. He can also be stealthy to approach, but can't use his tracking is he's going to do so. If you could read that a survivor was near a portal then come out of it stealthily to attack, that'd be great, but as it is, they're aware that there's a portal there and you loudly announce "SURVIVORS, I AM NOW TELEPORTING, LISTEN FOR MY SQUELCHY PORTAL NOISE AND THUMPING FOOTSTEPS BECAUSE I AND NOW STEALTHY FOR 3 SECONDS!" which tends to get people to pay enough attention to ruin the benefits.
As someone above said, too, everything he does has a global noise. Survivors get so much information that he's busy with someone else, or giving up on a chase and burrowing so they always know they're safe on a gen.

I love seeing some love for best BOI/GIRL, but I do agree with some of you up top, the footsteps especially could be toned down. My current perk build is Surge, STBFL, Corrupt and Dying Light.

Survivors dodging Shred isnt exactly doing them any favors. Yeah it make it harder to land Shred, but they DRASTICALLY slow down or come to a full stop needing to make those 90 degree turns. Allowing real mindgames with the Demo that he often controls.
Charge Shred. If they are looking backwards, you might want to bait and fake. Bait them to dodge by jerking your mouse and cancel Shred for a M1. Often works in clear areas before reaching loops. In cluttered areas and on loops a baited Shred can force them to poorly run a loop, giving way to a M1. Or them simply running into object not looking where they're going.
If they arent looking back. Just land the Shred. Prediction is needed but often enough not paying attention to a Demo is a bad idea that leads to getting hit.
And Iv never been able to have a tunnel on gens work out. The detection range is ######### and there is zero reason to channel Of the Abyss outside of using Shred. You often also cant travel on demand without wasting half of your tunnels in random places plus when you do travel those Survivors are long gone already. And if they dont see you when hearing the global tell, they know it's safe to stay put. No gain in stalling gens nor starting chases.
But if you plop a tunnel nearby a gen out of view and hearing. All they got is the global tell and every time you use a tunnel all Survivors should be on their toes. You can also block Survivors off of loops or lead them into dead zones multiple times by being able to choose where your tunnels are.
That makes your map travel a threat. Until someone sees you, you can be ANYWHERE! If they ignore your tunnels, you keep forcing Survivors into areas already cleared of pallets. If they remove your tunnels you gained time, information, AND you get that tunnel back for future use!
Nothing is perfect. But to me it looks like Demogorgon has more control of the game than most other Killers.

He's pretty good, but not invunerable against certain map tiles and great skill checks.

When I know a gen is being worked on a place a portal near it and I love that portals give oblivious so I can get a grab before they even know I'm there

He's def underrated but still needs some improvements. I dunno what though.

Blame the balancing. I sit around rank 5 on both sides just so I don't feel pulled into playing nurse/spirit/hillbilly, and don't have to exclusively play against them. Red ranks are a hellhole of two killers and one survivor park build.

Nope... Hes really not.

I love him personally, but his unplayable on PS4 yet again. Laggy as hell.
Have no idea how this devs get certification.
About his viability though.
His shred is way more risky than rewarding.
Missing a shred causes you to endure a nurse like fatigue, while hitting people with it just gives them the regular Sprint burst.
Make it so it causes mangled/Hinder, something that makes it actually worth while.
As to his portals, make them indestructible, but remove the ability to sense survivors.
And give them a distance limitation, so he can't lock down 3 gens easily.
That way, there would be a lot of strategic thinking goin into setting up your tunnel network.
Let's wait 3-4 years for the devs to finally realize he needs some buffs, and give him a slightly fatigue reduction.

Demo to me is a pretty overrated killer.
He looks good on paper but it doesn't pan out that way. Literally everything he does is so extremely telegraphed to the person in chase and everyone on the map that it's highly abusable.
I still don't think his shred is good enough either to warrant the high risk it involves.
