The hypocrisy!
Killer: Yeah I camp it's fun, even though it ruins the game for survivors.
Everyone on the forums: you do what you want as long as you're having fun.
Survivor: Ruin and BBQ every game and campers take variety out of the game and prevent survivors from having fun.
Everyone on the forums: lol just another kid complaining git gud skrub.
Me: smh...

All sorts of different people do this to be honest.
It's nothing new. Just classic scrub behavior - someone goes "all out" and then cries when their opponent(s) do the same because then they didn't "win the right way" 😄

The point here is (atleast I think it is), that Killers want to play how they want, just like Survivors are allowed to (even tho I am not that big of a fan of camping, unless its EGC), while your other example is a Survivor telling a Killer which way he is supposed to play and which Perks are allowed to be used.

I didn't quite get the gist of what you just said but I'm going to assume it's in support of my post and stay thanks.

Wrong. It's more of a killer explaining how they have fun even though it's toxic and people supporting them, but a survivor talks about how there should be more variety and less toxicity and them getting put down for it.

Lol well hope you dont look at my thread then xD

That is not true. Camping IS a playstyle. Fun? Not really, but it is a playstyle.
Telling Killers what they can and cannot do is NOT a playstyle. That's being controlling and entitled.

Oml you're actually my reason for posting this. I still love you ❤️.

You have to make your own fun in this game; the other side is rarely going to provide it for you. Hell, as a survivor my teammates are the enemy of fun half the time, too.
Also, I've never had a killer tell me how to play survivor, but I've had survivors tell me how to play both killer and survivor.

While it is a playstyle, it is very rude to do to someone.

Their choice to do it.
Not your choice to tell them what they can and can't do.

How is this hypocrisy? It can basically be simplified as:
Person A: I love X!
Others: Yeah X is fine.
Person B: I hate X!
Others: No, X is fine.
I fail to see any inconsistency in anyone's behaviour here.

The only hypocrisy I see is killers who claim things like camping and making it an unfun experience for survivors is fun for them, but then turn around and cry because they got gen rushed because they camped too much.

It's because people get tired of Toxic behavior. It's a 5 player game.

Just read his nickname and the title of his topic. For me, it's provocation. Most of his arguments are dishonest and misleading. We all know very well what we are talking about, but some killers and developers are the only ones who do not understand... Playing on words and mixing situations...
We must learn to ignore them, and not be too disgusted by this forum and its foul atmosphere.
Camping is uninteresting. Camping does not require any skill. Camping is like doing nothing. Camping is greifing.

Yet it has netted me 4k before with how altruistic some survivors are.

Ruin and BBQ need to be visited because most games involve both.
And I hope the devs don't destroy them. There are itty bitty nerfs that could work.

Ruin is only necessary if your killer has no stalll potential, and most people use BBQ for the Bloodpoints. The Aura Reading also helps people not camp.
BBQ is literally a survivor sided perk because it forces the killer to move away from an advantageous position (i.e near the hook)

Games without camping are miserable if you dont use ruin. There's a reason survivors dont want camping cause it means they lose the game, they'd rather have a ridiculous honor code so they live longer. You spend 3 to 4 gens to catch 1 or 2 people and they are off hook the millisecond you are out of view. And then were supposed to catch these people 2 more times? LOL. Maybe when you need to do 20 gens to escape or follow a survivor honor code of 1 gen every 5 minutes we can talk about not camping.

It doesn't promote camping and it doesn't discourage camping. It gives you information. If I don't see auras after hooking the survivor I'm camping
1 -
I personally don't camp, but I will search the surrounding areas first. As it's more beneficial for me to do that rather than just camp. Then patrol gens again.

Yeah that.

As a survivor main I hate camping. At the same time I don't think it's toxic and I don't blame killers for doing it. If I played as a killer I'd do it.
The problem with camping isn't the killers. It's the survivors. Camping is a winning strategy because survivors make it that way. In 90% of the games I play a killer is pretty much guaranteed at least 2 relatively easy kills if they camp.
Hook the first person and they can count on at least one other running to the hook trying to unhook regardless of the fact the killer is standing right there. Sometimes you get 2, and occasionally all 3 other survivors running to the hook trying to be the first one there for the easy points from unhooking.
Who can blame any killer for camping? In most games survivors will literally come to them to be slaughtered.
That's why every time I see survivors complain about killers camping I get frustrated. If you want to call out those responsible then you need to call out the survivors that make it a viable strategy.
If survivors would just do gens when a killer camps they could have all 5 gens done by the time the killer has taken down 2 people. Instead many games survivors are lucky to get 2 gens done because they somehow think granting a killer an easy 4k by playing hook carousel is better than having at least a couple escape.
So, if you're a survivor that complains about camping you should blame the right people. Blame the survivors that play to lose by implementing moronic strategy. But blaming killers for taking what's handed to them is ridiculous.

Wait whats wrong with ruin and BBQ :D?

You might want to read this book
3 -
Complaining about campers and BBQ at the same time. So what's the killer supposed to do?
a) patrol/stay close to the hook
b) leave the hook and chase a new survivor
c) go to a corner and think about what he did wrong
2 -
1. I like blood points and aura reading.
2. I use ruin on killers with no natural map pressure. Blame the developers.
3. Telling other people how they should play is the definition of entitled.
