Slugging Is Not An Exploit
For people who don't understand I wanted to come clarify something. I just had a match playing as killer with no ruin and the survivors were using prove thyself to gen rush me as fast as possible. Even to the point of getting someone down and going back to the same gen multiple times with me next to it to try and finish it. So instead of chasing people and losing since that's for sure what was going to happen playing as the clown, I instead used my knock out perk and started slugging them. Got them all down, one of them DC'd, found one and hooked them while the other two crawled away where I couldn't find them and bled out.
Now survivors gen rushing, it's a strat that's fine, but you can't complain about a killer using a more "scummy" strat to counter you for it. This brilliant survivor calls it an "exploit" to use the dying state to down other people, don't be like him. Slugging, camping, tunneling are all still strategies to win. Yes they may seem more scummy to people, but it's not an exploit, and it's not a reportable thing. If the killers only chance to win the game is to slug people, that's what they're going to do. I didn't want to play like that, but when you gen rush to the last gen in 2 minutes, yeah I'm going to. Perks exist like Knock Out and Deerstalker to use that dying state as a way to play, it's not an exploit, and I'm tired of survivors not knowing the difference.
I play both killer and survivor, been rank 1 on both, have over a thousand hours in the game. Since I play both, I know when a killer camps the hook with the doors open for that one person, it's fair game. I know when survivors including myself gen rush a killer and we get slugged for it, it's fair game. We could have used our own perks to try and counter slugging, but if you don't that's on you. And if you all are getting slugged, let the killer hook you, you have a chance to Kobe instead of just bleeding out for nothing. That extra time wasted is on you the survivor.
