Sat in Queue for an entire hour
Recorded it but only managed to get about 30 or 40 minutes of footage.
Queued up at 9:23pm and waited until 10:34pm and just gave the hell up. Survivor btw

The queues are definitely absurd at the moment.
But at that length of time, your game was probably glitched. Did you try reloading the game during that wait?

Killer queues are almost instant. The problem is that not enough people are playing Killer. And between things like gen speeds, SWF depip squads, the god-awful emblem system and Decisive Strike, I can't imagine why.

I never have queue problems as a survivor, playing in that time frame too.
If I am waiting longer than 5 minutes I just back out, cancel my queue and re-enter.
Works every time, no way you should be waiting an hour unless you're in some country where there's no real population for this game.

Before PC went to dedicated servers the metrics would show 2/3:1 survivor/killer ratio's.
What I suspect is that if you're a regular killer or perhaps if you a regular to buy stuff in shop or dlc this might have an impact. Can't prove ofc but your point about there being no killers because of reasons, is just false.

I'm on PS4. At least on "my" platform the lack of killers is super clear, especially high rank killers.
Instant killer lobbies, survivors have to wait some time, rank doesn't matter. Also green and purple rank killers are getting matched with high rank survivors all the time.

Idk what did they do to matchmaking, the queue time is longer, also ranks are messed up

Why would you wait so long? I would have reset the lobby after 5-10 minutes and if that didn't work play killer or something else entirely.

I waited that long so I could record it and see how long it would go for. I never had queue last longer than 20 minutes
PC red ranks for Survivor. No, it was not bugged because I restarted my game several times before sitting in Q for that long. I never found a game of Survivor last night, I just gave up.
Also my region is NA, Canada to be exact. Very populated. I'm positive it wasn't bugged because after restarting my game several times I still couldn't find a Survivor match, but I could find a Killer

The videos only 39.38 minutes, but I was literally in Q for an entire hour.
I think right before I started recording I restarted my game and tried again, so it's not an hour long video.

I give up after 15 minutes of waiting and switch to another game props to you for being so patient.
Either there was little to no Killers playing near you or the Matchmaking got messed up again. If I had to guess judging by the amount of other people having issues with Que times I'd say they broke matchmaking again, Happens pretty regularly.

I got instant killer queues. But my survivor queues are only five minutes.

I used to play 50/50 but am now about 90% killer due to survivor ques.

ps4 - my killer queues are fast.
I gave up on attempting survivor archive challenges as my brown rank-E-ness survivor takes forever to queue up matches.

Since switching from Killer to Survivor, I have noticed these wait times too. I agree about the reasoning for why I switched sides from Killer to Survivor though. Killer is NOT fun at high ranks. As many people have said, Tru3Ta1ent (and you can't ignore that he has incredible knowledge of the game as a whole) has switched from Killer main to Survivor recently due to how you cannot make one mistake without losing the entire game.
There needs to be an actual incentive to play Killer at high ranks as it is simply just Bully Simulator 2019 right now.
Also are Rank Rework/possibly Rewards planned to be announced in the upcoming months? (according to the Road Map released in June?)

Wait, Tru3 actually stopped playing killer for now? Haven't watched him for a while, because I find his neverendling negativity incredible repetive, but I am still curious, since I respect his opinion of the game.

Yeah, pretty sure he's been playing Survivor for the past couple of months now I think. It is really hard at high ranks to play Killer - kudos goes out to people that can actually achieve at least a couple of kills per trial.

Yea, I honestly won't blame him. I as Nurse-main can deal with the imbalance quite well, but I imagine that people who main weakers killers will be burned out quite quick. And I know that Tru3 tried to always play every killer equally, so it really was just a matter of time until he joined the dark side.

Multiple times, I then started to record at like 20 minutes in, and the queue lasted for 39 minutes until I gave up and quit the game. I'm gonna post a youtube link once it's uploaded

Man, I wish I could play Nurse. Been practicing for past couple of weeks but I am absolutely terrible as her lol. I've even been using the Brown add-on that lets you see where the blink lands to get a feel for how not to blink into walls and that didn't help me haha.
Also great to see Nurse players now though, they are always the deadly and fantastic Killers that appear at the high ranks and make you mind game the LOS blockers far more than anyone else due to the blink.

Yeah, I picked her up looong before her rework, so the nerf is just a minor inconvenience. I stack the 2 recharge add-ons (I have hundreds of them stockepiled, lol), and it feels almost the same really.
Now she is really hard to learn. Its simple math why. You blink less per match = less practise per match = it takes you more matches = more time to learn. What took weeks pre-rework, now takes months. Honestly you might as well pick up Sprit instead. She is much easier and you can get almost the same results.

Yeah, she's who I usually play. I only play Freddy, Spirit or Billy now because of how unforgiving the game is right now. It just gets boring playing the same thing over and over again, at least as Survivor you can actually enjoy the thrill of the chase, whereas it is simply an annoyance as a Killer.

If you don't have enough killers, there is no quick fix to the situation. You have to make changes about the game, so that more people would want to play killer.
The only thing you can try to get an effect fast is giving the role that is not played enough bonus bloodpoints.
