Is it just me or does ONI Need a nerf ? (Please No Forum Mongrals)
Please need some serious honest votes here, if have not played against him atleast 20 times please dont vote. We dont need forum mongrals but actual in game players with experiance against ONI and not just the game. Thanks. And please note that yes while i have no profile pic and have not been on this forum for long does not mean you should troll and just answer what you feel is true. Please in game players who have played against ONI enough times. And please think about your answers carefully.

I have been playing ~ rank 8 on PS4... I haven't even encountered him yet.

PS4 - I have played against 20 or so Oni and not a single one has hit me with the demon dash/insta down (I don't own Oni so if I'm wrong on the ability name my apologies). Maybe he is stronger on PC but the console Oni seem to struggle a ton. I also see a drop in frames whenever Oni pops his blood frenzy.

It's way too early to decide that, for now they need to actually buff him so that he wouldn't need to slug with one specific build, (the infectious fright build).

I have played against Oni a lot and almost every time I have escaped, certain things tho could be nerfed or buffed that’s just every killer

Not only is it too soon to tell, but you have to work for his instant-down, which I am hugely in favour for. The only time I've been destroyed by an Oni was when I versed a Rank 2 Oni with a Rank 4, and 2 Rank 20's with a single Lv. 1 Balanced Landing between them.
So, yes, any killer would seem like they need a nerf against full potatoes, but to any competent survivors, not really.
I just see him as a more balanced Hillbilly. With a WAY better asthetic.

It's a bit like playing against a billy. He's loud and easy to hide against and in order to juke him while his power is up you need to use sharp corners.
By no means can you bully him, but he's hardly unbeatable, not even close.

When I saw him on ptb, he looked really strong. But now, he fells really balanced tbh, dont think he needs a nerf

He isn't even worth using on console unless you like playing pissed off all the time. His only viable build encourages slugging, and you can't blame the killers for doing it either. That's how the devs made his power work.

personally the only thing i find really OP about him is how if someone has been standing somewhere to get healed, or are using self care which is slower, you are no longer hidden because of how many blood orbs that end up generating by you. it takes away the concept of healing and remaining hidden, usually leaving a survivor at a disadvantage, especially if they just got off hook.

I think the Oni is really loud and very easy to spot. And they try downing everyone while in Berserk mode.
Makes it easy to heal ppl back up.
Oni players might get better with him, but right now I think he is fine.

No one is playing him. I’ve noted when I do come across him, which is rare, everyone dcs. No one wants to deal with that crap.
