Is the Observer really trying to help our survivors get out?

How is he gonna do that when he has access to only memories and is basically stuck in the little corner of the entity's dimension and has no real influence on the place where our survivors are which would be the trials and the campfire?

It might be explained in the last set of memories or whatever they are that you get from master challenges in the tome

There is one last set of lore entries in Level 4... we might learn more by then... then again, it might not fully be explained with this Tome. After all, this is essentially Chapter 1... setting up the characters of this novel a bit more clearly... At least the one with real impact.

We've learned much about the Entity that we didn't before. How it selects from worlds that are ignorant of its' kind, that there are potentially others like it, and that it behaves more like a feral animal than any sentient being. There may be more in each Tome until we can potentially see an end. After all, they want this game to last 7 years yet...
