Why can't there be more objectives?

The game has been do gens, unhook, get out for a while. Most people can agree another objective would be a great help to the game but still they won't add one. It would be great for changing the game:

Lessen the power of toolboxes

More varied, fun game play for survivors

Increase the power of maps

Lessen the extreme popularity of some killer perks to let others shine

Overall increase the time it takes for survivors to complete their objectives

My idea: Gens can't be repaired past 50% progress without a Spare Part or Brand New Part. Brand New Part's effect is replaced with: "You will consume this add on instead of a Spare Part to pass 50% progress on a generator". Gens now only take 60 seconds to complete. Spare Parts can be found by searching scrap piles located near generators. It takes 20 seconds to complete the Search of a scrap pile and find a Spare Part. Searching scrap piles is a very noisy action. You must succeed on skill checks to prevent the scrap from clattering and generating a noise notification and hampering progress by 10%, hitting a Great skill check will cause you to generate very little noise until the next skill check. Or if you want to be lazy and not add scrap piles you can make it so you can do a secondary action on chests to search them whether or not they are expended without expending them to gain a Spare Part. Maps can track scrap piles and determine how many Spare Parts are left in a scrap pile by the intensity of their aura. Scrap piles hold 2 Spare Parts and there are 10-14 scrap piles around the map roughly the size of chests. If a generator regresses below 50% the survivor will have to find another Spare Part for that gen. Finally, the survivor is Oblivious while searching a scrap pile.

Let me know what you guys think of my idea and why the devs won't change the base game.

    Even though it is to late for this, just have survivors with different powers or "items." This would solve the fun gameplay, at the very least.

    I think search times should be a little less. 20 seconds is twenty seconds you could heal, unhook, or do the half generator you could complete. Maybe 10 seconds and also carry 2-3 spare parts at a time.

    This 20 seconds comes from the time shaved off of generators. (Yes BNP buys you over 20 seconds guaranteed now, get over it)

    Problem - Any increase to Survivor Objective Time will be a massive buff to camping and tunneling as a whole. (on top of killers in general)

    "Solution" people bring up here - Well increase hook time. that'll balance that.

    Problem - You're telling me you want Survivors to spend more time either on the hook in a hopeless and inputless state against a camper while the other Survivors spend more time M1'ing or whatever lame little "activity" you guys come up with?

    "Gen Rush", "Camping", and "Tunneling" play off of each other. You cannot just tack on more objective time and expect Camping and Tunneling to not be more drastically more effective and cause more suicides on hooks as players don't want to sit for a LONGER time period staring at themselves on a hook.

    The overall objective time wouldn't increase by more than 45 seconds if done correctly like in my idea. Plus this will buff new survivors as they have something to do if they are scared of gens. Plus this will stop people from saying the game is survivor sided when killers control the game (for example in my idea they can use PGTW to get the gen below 50% again and add an additional 20+ seconds to objective time, killers and survivors both have more active roles). As for camping and tunneling, Kindred basekit could also come in. The only problem with my idea is that it buffs swf over solo queue but Kindred basekit and a Spare Part tracker survivors can see would also help with that. Maybe also a Better Together buff so you can see gens that are at 50% but still need a Spare Part and see survivors within Bond range that have at least 1 Spare Part. Just some thoughts, I would like to hear more of yours :)
