No communication
The most annoying thing about this game is the fact that it's an online game and there's no way to communicate with other survivors in the lobby. There wouldn't be so many potatoes if there was a way to communicate other than private chat. Literally every online game but this one you can talk to other players with a headset. Okay here comes the hater responses.

The mistake you make is assuming it's a team game. It isn't. There's a group of who need to rely on each other to get out, but at the end of the day, if three die so one can get out, it's the one who wins, not the four. SWF breaks that idea and makes it a team game. That being said, that does not mean the game is intended to be a team game, and therefore I disagree with the idea.

Console doesn't have lobby voice chat. You'd have to quickly invite everyone and hope they join.

Yeah, but at least we have an option, PC has to be discord. People join voice chat if invited most of the time. That's the main exampleI use when people say to do something about SWF.. in console you don't need to actually have a group to SWF if you just invite randoms to parties every match..
I personally prefer to solo but there's always that option for us.

that's besides the point.
While I do agree discord is a great tool.. I'll have to disaggre that is superior for this example. On console you just invite and join immediately, discord you have to actually look for the channel, join, look for the voice chat channel, ask to be dragged (if blocked), etc.. too much of a hassle vs an instant voice chat.
Console can have communication without the need of lobby voice chat, and you can pretty much chat with any other player if they want to.

Actually, you can invite directly to a channel. The only requirement is having discord instal...wait, no, you can run it in a browser, lol

yes but still more steps than just clicking one button to accept a party invite.
but on this subject, I do agree that there should be lobby voice chat or a feature to ebable/disable it. I personally wouldn't use it, so I'd like a disable option, I dont want to hear my fellow Latin American's telenovelas in the background and the mom yelling and a kid crying in the background..

Not really? If you have discord installed, it's literally clicking a link. Boom, you're in a channel.

Camping the hatch with 1 gen left while your team mate is getting chased for 5 minutes is hardly a win.
@OP They should just add voip. If someone doesn't want this it can be easily turned off. It would bring solo ques more on the level of swf.
