Killer hearing regarding sounds
Why is no one talking about how inconsistent sounds and chase music are? Why is it when a survivor goes behind a wall it's like they turn into ninjas? You can't hear a thing even though the walls have holes and large gaps. I'm starting to think they are lowering footsteps on purpose cause it seems every patch messes with those sounds specifically and the chase music is just blaring in my ears.
Does anyone else notice this? Am I just going crazy here is this just a shadow nerf to spirit that all killers have to deal with? If not, Devs please make sounds consistent.

Do you play with tv speakers or headphones?

Headphones, I could hear survivors running around just fine before the Oni patch.

Sound quality detoriated steadily since 2016, and continues to do so. The devs put no effort into fixing it, or its intentional. Killers just adapted to it.

hmmm it might be bugged then. The only sound problem I faced are the gens in certain maps being completely quiet when behind a wall.

Believe me I know sounds are not what they were, I've accepted that but this update is just really bad combined with some maps being darker. I'll hold out till they hopefully patch the sounds AGAIN, if they "fix" them....

Normal state (100℅) -> bugged state (~60%) -> "fixed" new normal state" (~80℅)
Has happened atleast twice already. The numbers are just broad examples to drive a point.

This is exactly what I mean and how it feels every time they do something to the sounds in this game, accident or not. I really wish the community were a bit louder with there criticism of what i think is the most important killer core mechanic in the game imo.

As far as I see, killers have been extremely vocal about it. But since the devs never put any effort into "fixing" it, people just gave up. It gets tiresome at some point.

I know, I just am amazed no one is talking about it anymore and if this was the devs plans to ignore everyone talking about sounds and just wait it out, they did it.
I'll never not be annoyed by it though....

All apart of the plan, survivors need as much help as possible since the big bad killers are so OveRPowEreD just as their stats show with zero context or incentive to escape as survivor.

Playing Spirit has become harder because of the lack of sound. I can be right next to a survivor and I can't hear any footsteps

Each patch keeps breaking the sound in a million different ways.

Right? It's weird cause they've done like 2 or 3 hotfixes since the patch and still don't address how bad the sounds are. Everyone would figure a core mechanic in the game would be one of the first things on the list to fix as well as them saying they want to work on "game health". Looks suspicious to me.
