Is it just me or am I the only one who stopped doing the Archive challenges?

Cause look, the reason why I stopped is because what's the point in doing them if I could just litterally watch a 20 minute YouTube Video on the entire Entity lore, the Claudette Lore, and Trappers lore.

And Ik what you guys are going to say...

You also get fragments and bloodpoints!

Well look. I get more bloodpoints than what the rift can give me. And fragments are useless if I just wanna skip this crappy test trial of the rift all I have to do is use Auric Cells. It's just pointless.

That's my opinion on a RNG based challenge system.

I think most of the archive challenges are fun except for the flashlight challenges. It would be different if flashlights weren't lost on death but trying to practice with them is not only a guaranteed down for the killer but then you have to farm for more of them later.

I enjoy the challenges. I was getting pretty burned out and hadn't played the game for a few weeks before the archives came out. I have all of the perks unlocked on most killers, so I didn't really have much to play or grind for. The challenges gave me a reason to come back to playing the game, so I'm grateful they got added.

I enjoy that they give me more of a reason to play, and more interesting things to do than just 'after this I get points to level up.'

I like the challenges, but if you don't care much for them or the rewards they offer, that's fair enough too. That's why they're optional.

I do them but I dont go out of my way to do them and change how I play. If I get them I get them.

Its why as one example tier 2 dropping the pallets in a chase took me around 25 matches.

True, it's just I dont get what the Devs were thinking.

This game is a Paid game. $30 litterally on xbox without a discount sale, and maybe $15-$12 on steam if there is a Sale.

So I just dont get why they dont make the rift easier to do, or make it free for everyone. Like many others stated above I agree that it brings variety. But the challenges are so dang hard (even after their supposed, "We made them easier" Update.)

They dont get why people were outraged.

It is RNG based for some Fragments and bloodpoints (and some with lore that can easily be searched on YouTube)

And that's why we hate it. It's not because we're not trying the challenges [Because we are] it's just it's too dang hard to get to 1 freaking tier in the rift.

I'd rather spend $80 just to buy the premium and bypass litterally every tier.

Like.. come on this Rift is outrageous and the devs need to treat it as such.

Well, as you know, the Rift is free for everyone. If you want an extra $200 worth of cosmetics, then you need to pay an extra $10. That still seems like a pretty great deal to me.

As for the challenges, I'm not sure what to say. I personally haven't had much trouble with them, and neither have a lot of people I've seen comment on the forums or spoken to in person. It's not even a veteran thing either, because my brother, who started playing the game a week after the first Tome released and works full-time during the week, has completed all the challenges in the first two levels and all the killer challenges from level 3, and is already at about tier 40 of the Rift.

If you would like tips on how to complete certain challenges you're having difficulties with, I'm happy to help, but otherwise I guess we can just chalk it up to the Archives not being everyone's cup of tea 🤷

I mean I've gotten enough fragments from trying to do the annoying challenges (2 pallet stuns w/o throwing the chases, 2 flashlight blinds, flashlight save still not complete) that I'll finish the rift well before finishing tome 4.

I use them to challenge myself.

I stopped; but only cause I finished them.

There is nothing absurdly unreasonable about levels 1-3 of the archives. They aren't meant to always be achievable the first attempt 100% of the time and they aren't all meant to be easy. They are called challenges for a reason.

If you don't like a challenge, don't blame it on them.

I should also note - everything in the archives, if you play both sides x amount, are things you've done before organically before anyway. Except for maybe that Monstrous Shrine one...cause OMEGALUL KEKW running Monstrous Shrine; but it was insanely easy.

Yes, the flashlight challenge drove me crazy. I got lucky and had a nice Ghostface who understood what I needed and let me blind him 3 times. And by some miraculous twist of fate, I was magically able to blind a billy while he was doing his dash, which stopped him in his tracks. I didn’t live after that.

Im just happy I could skip the blind while killer is carrying.

You don't have to get the save, just the blind. You can blind extra early to ensure you get the blind but you won't get the save. Gotta do what you gotta do

Tbh they aren't fun. These challenges are just the testing the basic features in game for me. XD

I'm still stuck on this challenge still lol I had to go a different way to reach the end of the tome.

I kinds fell burned out and frustrated with these challenges, not because they are hard (some can be) but because they are grindy. I used to be a casual player but now I fell like I have to play a lot to complete these challenges. I know they are optional but I swear these challenges where made in mind to the players who play alot. I'm still gonna finish as many as I can but if I can't get them all, then so be it.
