Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Oni rework or nah?

Seen most of the time that matches against the Oni have almost been unplayable. Seems like even players new to the game can get the hang of him and grasp themselves an easy 4k. This may have a result of brutal killer by the end of the game but regardless, it’s strange. Does he need to be balanced out?

He is very well balanced, someone would say that he is underpowered, just because of the recent changes to his flick and I agree, he needs his flick changed back to some degree.

A killer like the Oni will bring changes to the meta to counter the possibility of coming across him. We'll start to see more med-kits and possibly even some Botany Knowledge to counter him and the more recent "Slow-builds" utilising Thanatophobia and Sloppy Butcher. It'll return towards more of a healing meta.

When new content comes, the meta will change. As strategies become stagnant, people will try to find ways to counter and exploit the existing meta that will force change.

Killer mains will always say he is balanced, which is isn’t. None of the killers are balanced. They are great for red ranks and decimate games in ranks 10-20. Oni is op and unfun to play with, which is why everyone dcs when oni is the killer.
