Film series: What is YOUR canon and what happened at the end? (possible spoilers)
All your opinion.
Take a film series. Which films in the series are canon in your own opinion? And when the final film happened, what transpired after the film?
Example.
Series: Lion King
Canon: Only the original.
What happened afterwards: Simba ruled the pride as king, had a family and lived happily ever after.

Series: Halloween
Canon: Halloween (1978) & Halloween (2018)
Reasoning: 2018 is a solid continuation of 1978 making all the plot paths of the unmentioned Halloween films void.
What happened afterwards: TBC in Halloween Kills.

Series: Saw
Canon: Saw parts 1-7.
Reasoning: 'Jigsaw' wasn't and awful film but it really wasn't necessary.
What happened afterwards: Deprived of food and water for a long period of time, Hoffman eventually passed out due to dehydration. He awoke in the bathroom...the darkness now replaced by light...but his ankle shackle had been removed. He was weary and could hardly move. Then he made out a figure. A figure wearing a pig's head. The figure removed the pig's head to reveal...Amanda Young. Hoffman tried to say "You..." but Amanda quickly stabbed Hoffman in the chest with a retracting blade. "I told you I wasn't going anywhere..." said Amanda as she twisted the blade, Hoffman's choking up blood. "...Game Over." whispered Amanda as Hoffman succumbed to the wound.
Amanda had awoke in the Fog after she was mortally wounded...given another chance to inflict pain by The Entity. Hoffman had also been extended the same courtesy, but Amanda was ready and killed him on arrival.

Series: Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Canon: Texas Chainsaw Massacre (70s)
Reasoning: All other TCM film are pretty poor. 'Leatherface' wasn't bad but the reasoning for Leatherface's disfigurement is ridiculous.
What happened afterwards: Police stormed the Sawyer house and killed the entire family.

Series: Saw
Canon: Saw 1 and Saw 2
What happened afterwards: Kramer dies of cancer and Amanda vanishes before she can succeed him. Where ever could she possibly have gone? Oh, and both Adam and Lawrence bled to death.

Series: Friday the 13th
Canon #1: Friday the 13th (1980), Friday the 13th: Part 2, Friday the 13th: Part 3, Friday the 13th: Part 4: The Final Chapter, Friday the 13th: Part 6: Jason Lives!
What happened afterwards: Jason stayed dead after Megan Garris snapped his neck with the motorboat's propeller. His spirit trapped forever in the waters of the (death) cursed Crystal Lake. Tommy Jarvis recovered from the trauma of what happened and eventually started a support group for the survivors of other slashers villains with one Nancy Thompson.
Canon #2: Friday the 13th (1980) - Friday the 13th: Part 4, Friday the 13th: The Game
What happened afterwards: Jason was killed once and for all due to the combined effort of Tommy Jarvis, A.J. Mason, Chad Kensington, and Eric LaChappa. Adam Palomino, Brandon Wilson, Deborah Kim, Jenny Myers, Mitch Floyd, and Vanessa Jones were all killed in gruesome ways at the hands of Jason Voorhees. Victoria Sterling left her 'friends' to die by fleeing in the camp's only working car. Tiffany Cox was run over by Victoria, but survived her injuries. Kenny Riedell was found hiding in a closet by the police officers and EMTs who arrived at the site of the massacre.
Tommy was successfully rehabilitated and became a functioning member of society; eventually writing a best selling book based on his experiences. Kenny never recovered and had extreme PTSD for the rest of his life. Tiffany never fully recovered from her injuries and spent the rest of her life in a wheelchair. Victoria suffered no legal consequences for Tiffany's injuries and never worked a day for the rest of her life, thanks to her immense wealth. A.J., Chad, and Eric honed their skills at killing slasher villains and became the scourge of all horror antagonists everywhere. A.J. also started all female punk rock band; The Nightmare Warriors. It had a significant cult following, but never became mainstream. After an unlikely encounter, Chad and Ash Williams became friends. Eric LaChappa created an unofficial sequel to Zork III.

What happened afterwards: Michael Myers died and Jamie Lloyd was institutionalized after killing her mother. She never spoke a word again. She just sat quietly in her room. Waiting.

Canon: The Original Trilogy
What happened afterwards: Han wasn't stabbed with a lightsaber, spaceships didn't run out of fuel, and Luke didn't go crazy and almost murder a child. Also some other stuff probably, but mostly that.

Series: John Wick
Canon: John Wick and sorta John Wick 2
What happened afterwards: Instead of attempting to shoot John in some tunnels with a bunch of hired goons after he assassinates Gianna, Santino's mute henchwoman shoots him in the head with a sniper rifle from half a mile away as soon as he exits some tunnels. Either that or John Wick 2 and all of it's characters and events just don't exist, and John just enjoys retirement with his dog.
I'm fine with either.

Canon: Friday 13th parts 1/2/3/4/6/8/9.
What happened afterwards: Jason remained in hell, a prized guest of the Devil.

Canon: Jaws (I do like Jaws 2 but it's unrealistic to have the same thing happen again).
What happened afterwards: Brody was hailed a hero. He eventually promoted and moved back to New York with his family, putting the memories of Amity behind him.
