Iridescent Head either needs a nerf or a huge tell

Literally all the devs need to do is prevent it from stacking with Infantry Belt. You want instadown hatchets? You get one shot. Make it count.

I think that’s the best solution!
The iris shouldn’t stack with any other addon, so if you run insta-hatchets you have only 1 hatchet.
I don’t like the range idea, cause to hit a survivor in 24 m or something like this is on some maps nearly impossible (Lerrys, Underground Complex).
Give the huntress only 1 hatchet is fine!

I like the idea that Otz had about Head.
Keep the perk as it is BUT only allow the insta down if the hatchet is thrown and hits a survivor that is further then 15 meters away from the huntress. If you get hit in that range, it counts as a normal hatchet hit.

I play mostly huntress and I haven't used IRI head over a year. That's because for me I actually feel that I'm better with hatchet + basic attack combo, then I still have 6 hatchets. It's of course easier with insta down, but If I need to pressure there's no time to reload all the time and maps are what they are.. People forget that If you face a good survivor you only get close range hits, if you get hit over 16m hatchet, 95% of the time you messed up as a survivor that's the truth. Also if you get a bad map as huntress and survivors play optimal you just lose no matter what.
As I said I don't use IRI heads so I'd gladly change my 132 IRI heads to something else. I'd really like IRI head that removes the telltale sound for survivor when I'm drawing the hatchet. Would that be ok? Another option would be to remove the insta down but it has added broken status effect for a minute or something?
As for those range ideas mentioned in the topic, I guess in general they are okay but I don't believe developers can actually code that without million added bugs, so please no.

i'd totally agree with peanuts, long range insta down and delete this ######### add on

I don't want them to make it ranged based because then on some maps it becomes a basically useless add on.
Just make it not stack with the belt.

Not stacking with the extra hatchet add-ons seems like the simplest/best idea to me, too. I remember a streamer/ YouTuber, I forget who, used Iridescent Head but deliberately didn't use extra hatchets to be fair about it.
If it were range based I don't think letting it pair with the extra hatchets would be as bad. As noted, the Add-on could be rendered useless on the wrong map but you'd still have extra hatchets to compensate.
alternate ultra rare options:
get a lot more additional hatchets, but only far range hits can down survivors. Anything else can injure them, but downing them requires a sniper shot or a melee hit.
One like the Nurse add-on, where you get fewer hatchets but your base speed is buffed a little.
One like the Wraith's, where the Huntress' humming is completely removed.

Honestly, if I can do damage with these... I can only imagine what a good Huntress could do with them. I hope they get nerfed but not to the point where they become a detriment to the killer. I don't know, maybe give them a tell or only allow the insta-down after their first hook? My ideas are probably not the answer.

Make it so they can only hold one or take it out of the game. Shouldn’t be able to hold 3
