Would you consider this fair?
I had a game where I hooked Laurie. After hooking her I went away and saw Dwight nearby so I chased him and downed him. After downing him I picked him up and Laurie got saved in said moment. I went on to hook Dwight and go back to the hook where Laurie was (I thought they would probably be healing and I was right) I chased the healer away cause that Claudette ran at me and at the same time I looked at hook where Dwight was if Laurie would rush to save him, and she was going for him. So I decided to drop the chase with Claudette to interrupt an easy save. I downed Laurie after she saved Dwight and decided to pick her up and got hit with DS.
I thought like okay I kinda didn't want to slug her which would mean I wouldn't gain anything from the trade, so I risked that DS (Because it would atleast be out of endgame afterwards). I let her go after DS and went to find someone else.
Later on I found Laurie again chased her and hooked her. After hooking I went to kick a nearby gen and saw Claudette going for the save and went back to the hook. Claudette saved her and I counted possible BT timer in my mind and then downed Laurie again and hooked her mainly because she abused her DS earlier.
Now I know this is considered tunneling but I'm asking opinions if this is fair. I never go after the unhooked one in said situations but I decided to do so because she abused her DS to take momentum away from me (antitunnel perk and I already found someone else). In my opinion it was a fair move because she abused DS and I knew she wouldn't have DS. She even messaged me after game that "noob tunneler". In my opinion I did nothing wrong, but what is the common opinion in these situations? Is this noob tunneling or fair move to pull off?

I wouldn't call that "abusing ds" but you didn't do anything unfair.

She didn't abuse DS. She used DS.
She didn't do anything wrong, any more than you did. What you did was fine and perfectly justified, but that's because it was a smart and legit play, not because Laurie somehow "deserved" it.
The only thing anyone did wrong in that scenario was making unsafe rescues when you were close enough nearby to capitalise on them.

you played how you wanted to play and you took the free kill which was up to u man also i question how she didn't get to anything in 15 secs but i guess it could have been a dead zone or bad rng

Like others said above nobody really did anything unfair, of course messaging someone noob tunneler might tick you off a bit but just ignore em.

Well she dropped all the pallets in that area before going down, and after saving I even hit the unhooker who blocked for her. It is just weird how people get mad at such things when she pretty much wasted her DS earlier and stayed in the deadzone and even used her dead hard.

All of that is fair, you found survivors and chased them, that is literally the game from the killer side. Being overly altruistic is on the survivors.

Everything here seems fair.
People just get mad when they make bad plays and either:
- Take it out on other people but are really just mad at themselves.
- Think they played well and believe the other person must have played unfairly to beat them.
You didn't tunnel, she was just easy pickings because she made mistakes. So sound like the latter here tbh.

Maybe was unfun to the Laurie but she was risking her for the save, and its completely fair

I would love for the term "Abused her DS" to be explained in plain English, please?

Because DS has been advertised as an anti-tunneling perk, some people consider it abusive or exploitative to make use of the perk in situations where the user hasn't actually been tunneled, such as if they get unhooked and the killer downs and hooks another survivor, and the DS user gets downed while rescuing the second survivor and their DS is still active.
It's silly, because of course they're going to use their perk if it activates. They can't reasonably be expected to do otherwise.

So now every trial must be analyzed to determine if it was fair from killer and survivor perspective ?
Why do people get so mad about this game ? You did nothing wrong and shouldn't worry about all this. Neither Laurie did with her DS.
It's.only.a.game.

It may well be labelled as an anti-tunnelling perk but first and foremost it is just her perk. She had the opportunity to use it as part of a save attempt, so why wouldn't she use it? She is also not guaranteed to get to use it next time she gets unhooked either.
The idea of it being "abused" is ridiculous. It is a tool she had at her disposal. She used it. Killers can pick whatever perks they want and so can survivors. The whole idea of making excuses to camp/tunnel/abuse people based on the perks they have used is dumb.
This isn't directed at you, I know you're just explaining what I have asked. My issue is that thos community has really bizarre ideas about what the opposing team can and can't use in their perk slots.

I completely agree.

Well imo it is stated to be as explained a antitunnel perk meaning it should counter soft tunneling after unhooking, but in my game I already hooked someone else after her and she rushed to save with the ultimate point of DS saving her. Now I don't mind the fact that I got DS'd, I just wondered if the general opinion is that I played unfairly/ was a bad sport.
Why I state abusing is because she saved the Dwight and used the DS to prevent hook trading when she did an unasafe rescue. I mention it to be abusing because I get the feeling after she messaged me that she was entitled to use DS to make a save nullifying my momentum and afterwards when I "tunneled" her I should have left her untouched even though she already lost her antitunnel perk. Thus imo she abused the perk earlier when she could have used it later on.

How is a LAURIE STRODE using her perk considered abuse? If you want to tunnel, go ahead and tunnel. Survivors are going to do what they can to counter it because it's so common.

When survivors do dumb actions that put themselves in danger after being unhooked is not tunneling, what, do you think if I just hooked you you can just run straight towards me without getting hooked again?
2 -
As I stated imo she abused her DS. By the tone of the message she sent after game I got the understanding that she would have been entitled to a 60 second immunity even after wasting DS for that save. So by my understanding she abused the perk earlier and wasted her perk when she could have used the advantage given by it later on. Also I don't consider it tunneling if she tried to gain advantage with her perk and later on I tipped the scale on her the same way. I would have left her alone if she wouldn't have wasted her perk and in a 3 man swf game you pretty much need to capitalize on every possible situation.
I have nothing against DS I just felt she abused the antitunnel aspect of the perk when I already pressured other players. I too do risky moves when as a survivor when my DS timer is still up and if I manage to make a momentum turning play with it I'm able to withstand the consequences even if it means I face a similiar situation and I dont have the urge to make claims of tunneling.
I try to play in as a fun way as possible but if I lose momentum by action of this sorts I think I'm justified to gain it back later on when survivors make a mistake.

Slug in that situation.

Thought about it but 3 man running OoO I decided to risk DS to atleast gain something from it towards endgame. The situation itself isn't anything special. I can eat the DS no problem I just wanted to question if it was a fair play move to hook Laurie again after I knew she wasted her DS. By survivor rule book it would be tunneling but in general sense I question if it is considered okay.

Not really I think DS should be deactivated when another person is unhooked or hooked personally. Only one person needs it at a time. Its supposed to be a Anti Tunnel Perk not a Get out of Jail free card.

There’s a different between using and abusing. You can’t really abuse DS anymore :/

It isn't supposed to be an anti-tunnel perk at all. It just activates after being unhooked. It can be used however the survivor sees fit in that minute. It is a SING LE USE perk that can easily be avoided. There doesn't need to be any more bullshit limitations on it to say it deactivates if someone else gets hooked.
I mean in that instance if you downed someone not far from their hook and you saw someone about to unhook them, you would just wait to hook the person you just downed, let the person you suspect has DS get unhooked then 2 seconds later hook the next person, now you're free to go back and put the same person back on the hook. Such a fun play and deemed completely "balanced" through the eyes of someone who only plays killer.

You were being fair. But for me. I would of tunnel her ne ways. I dont care what she said.
