Quite funny to call it "Winter Gifts" and justify the absence of a Winter Event. The Cosmetics were given for a whole different reason.
The frosty eyes are awarded every year.
The Bill-Sweater will most likely became free because of Valve.
And the Charm...Yeah, cool. (I mean, I see people using the Trapper Charm a lot.. Any why? Because it was basically the first charm they got, and they dont care for them anymore)

I feel like you are avoiding me. You keep acknowledging my question, and then answering it in the most vague way possible.
Like with the Nurse update I asked why the cooldown was what it was, and the answer was basically confirming that you had a method, but not actually saying what the method to figure it out was and how you arrived at 3 seconds in particular.
And this time you specified the thing about slugging, but my question was about why the Oni's power needed any kind of penalty at all. You sort of answered it in a very broad sense, but you never said what about the power makes it need a penalty moreso than other comparable powers like Plague's corrupt Purge or Myers tier 3 (no that's not a suggestion).
I'm also not convinced that Legion needs a penalty for M1ing, but that's a different story.

It's not that we're avoiding you, we wouldn't be answering your questions if we were. We keep it simple because those Q&As reach a much wider audience, not just you specifically.
For the Nurse, it went through a lot of iterations and testing, consulting experienced players, etc. At three seconds, you'll just about have a charge back by the time you recover from fatigue.
For the Oni, it's much of the same. The PTB showed that the Oni was way too powerful in the right hands, able to zoom around the map and down almost the entire team with a single use of his power. We've changed it to have a soft limit, where your power ends sooner the more survivors you down. This way you can still get some oomph out of it, but the game doesn't end in under 40 seconds. Likewise, we changed it to cancel your power and maintain your current charge and spawn blood orbs when hooking a survivor to make hooking the survivor you just downed a little more appealing.

I'm hoping that maybe that end of year post will contain a new Doctor change (waiting for these changes is really hard because I'm a Doc main).
Also was there any explanation as to why Madness 3 won't be causing Exhaustion anymore? And will his base shock range be buffed like a couple of people have said?

If the game did end in 40 secs, this would be the fault of the survivors. They should FEAR his fury and hide, not boldly beg for attention. I really dislike the handicaps you put on killers such as nurse and Oni that pentalizes the killer. Your direction and killer changes tend to imply survivor pampering.

To play devil's advocate:
What should those survivors have done? They weren't running right up to the killer trying to get chased. This is one of many clips like it, and this one only has three downs.
In any case, saying that the survivors should hide and try to never get caught in the first place isn't exciting gameplay. We've all had games where the last two survivors do nothing but hide for 10+ minutes, and I don't think you want that to be a regular thing.

You guys are nerfing Doctor because of concerns that he's not fun to play against, but why do you never care about what killers find annoying? You only answer questions from survivors and balance around what they want.

The post with the Doctor changes will be after the end-of-year post. It's due to be published early January.
And yes, I believe they said on the stream that the base range of the Shock Therapy cone would be increased slightly.

This is like the 4th killer nerf in a row. Why not look at buffing one of the killers that have been underperforming for years now?

A few things I noticed. Zubat is highly experienced killer, the survivors were all running with a raging devil in full motion, he also got lucky when he found them. Zubat just literally got lucky and caught them in a position where they couldn't loop. If those last 2 hid when they heard his fury until it was over, he would have only had one down.
On the flip side, I bet if you watched Zubat play survivor against an Oni, he would escape most of the time. Zubat is good at looping making chases so long they can finish 3-5 gens.

People said the same thing about Legion before the "rework" and then surprise, it was a nerf. Hell it was about 3 or 4 nerfs.

I rarely saw people call the legion changes a buff, reading it you already knew it was a nerf. Doctor however is not like legion, not comparable at all.

The 60 second wait to use static shock feels like it’s long of a wait to use it I feel it should be a shorter cool down.

It's really too soon to say without trying the changes for ourselves. If I had to guess, I'd say it will probably be available for testing and feedback during the mid chapter PTB.

you do realize that he said that the clip he picked only showcased downing 3 survivors not all 4, and i know there is about 50 clips on twitch from the PTB where the oni downed all 4 survivors on very open maps

There's just as many being owned.I did a search on youtube, this is the first search result, I do not endorse this guy or know who he is. He looped him for 4 gens, before he actually got his power. Starts at 00:23. Notice carefully how the Claudette has no stress, no fear. The Oni is stressed and feels helpless. He is supposed to be the killer. Now also imagine nerfing and making Nurse unfun when there is an abundant supply of Claudettes like this.

Oops I'm very embarrassed but I'll explain.
A rank category is like a level list of inexperience, experience and pros.
Each category is like a rank for people who want an easy or challenging game.
The inexperience will have more fun and have less grind.
While the pros are more challenging and have more grind since they'll earn more.
It'll balance out the ranks more effectively. The more you rank the more you can think about changing to a higher category. But if you chose to go back let's just say earning more will be earning less.

I'm having a bit of trouble understanding - maybe it's because I don't play many competitive ranked games. Are you suggesting that they have different categories of ranks and each one has a whole bunch of sub-ranks inside it? Like for example in LoL how they have the categories of Silver, Gold, Diamond, and such but then within that there's Silver I, Silver II, Silver III, etc.? Or have I totally misunderstood lol.
