Now I'm not sure about the killer side to this idea, but I felt that Dirk the Daring (from the Dragon's Lair franchise) would be a perfect addition to the realm; his game is all about survival and trial-and-error or never losing hope and I felt his character design and type could make a good be rather inclusive:

"His duty done; Princess Daphne was safe, but his charge was far from over. Dirk faced the dragon with clenched teeth, his sword at the ready. A defiant, last defense against his escape, fire burning all around him, he attacked with the vigor of a valiant knight. As the flames burned around him, he raised his weapon and with a single swipe; relieved the beast of its head. But not all was done; Dirk fell to the ground, the clatter of gold coins surrounding his body. Weakness had overtaken the knight, who struggled to get up once more the fires still burning around him. He crumpled again, his strength giving out completely as the dragon's body fell limp to the ground beside him. He had done it; the princess was safe, the dragon slain, he could finally rest. As his consciousness faded, he could feel a cold wind wash over his body; when suddenly, he was in a different place. Dirk opened his eyes once more and could see forest around him; sitting up once more, he found his pain was gone, and a vibrant fire was glowing before him. What sort of beast was responsible for sending him here? What must he do to slay this beast and return to his own realm?"

Perks
Daring Rescue: The thrill of saving others fills you with energy; rescuing a survivor off a hook within the killer's terror radius gives you a 5%/6%/7% Haste Increase, allowing you to unhook faster. Haste persists for 10 Seconds following a successful rescue. If the survivor is struck, the haste effect is negated.

Chasing the Dragon: Defiant even in the face of death; you prove more resilient than you look. You have a 10%/15%/20% chance of avoiding damage that would put you in a dying state.

Preemptive Strategy: Your eyes are faster than your feet, when a survivor is picked up by the killer, you see the auras of 1/2/3 Hooks within a 15 Yard Radius of the killer.
