Styptic and Syringe

So do the styptic and syringe not work together? I used a medkit with both add-ons, used them, and still went down immediately. Like the styptic didn't activate. Does having the syringe make the styptic unuseable, or is this a glitch?

    You can't use both at the same time. My understanding is that if you equip both on the same medkit, whichever one is in the first slot takes priority and the other is ignored. So it sounds like in your case, the syringe was activated and the effect of the styptic agent was ignored, and the effect of the syringe was then also cancelled because you went down immediately afterwards.
