Just Curiosity, killers at red rank?

Since i'm a purple rank (7-8) i always face red ranks, i mean rank 2-4.

Can devs please tell us how many killers and survivors there are at red rank? i mean from 1 to 4.

Onestly, cause it feel like there are almost no killers...

up this topic for an answer ;)

I didn't play much killer this month yet so I'm rank 5 and I have been seeing the same things as you. My friends list is down from a dozen people playing DbD at any one time to 3. Streamer friends have told me they have no interest in killer anymore because it's just too much effort to play when seemingly everyone is a SWF with comms.

Killer numbers are definitely down. I don't want to say an all time low but definitely the lowest Ive ever seen it.

I can't play killer till night wait times hold me back from getting to red ranks. I'm telling cross-platform can fix things

Red rank killers seem sparse, as survivor queues at that rank can be quite long.

I can only speak from personal experience on Xbox NA.

Killer Queue's are less than 10 seconds.

    Survivor Queue's are 10 minutes.

The Emblem system is stupid so a lot of Red Rank worthy killers are stuck in Purple rank, and Purple rank killers stuck in Green.

They should revert the emblem changes they made a few months ago.

There are generally less killers at Red Rank due to how emblem scoring works and the amount of effort it takes to climb into Red Ranks then climb from 4-2 and then 2-1. Scoring is less reliant on survivors interactions with the killer. Killers on the other hand basically have to start playing in very specific ways that drag the game out long enough for them to get a proper Gatekeeper, Chaser, and Malicious score. It's also easier to accidentally depip yourself for doing too well as killer and having everyone die really fast.

In short. It is just too much work and not enough control for people to keep climbing if they have started to fall out of love with the game and don't need to play it to maintain a stream or youtube channel.

It is strange. This season i was playing from 7-5 almost all the time vs red rank and now i am in red rank, i get purple ranked survivors more often then before.

I'm at red ranks for both survivor and killer, and I rarely see a red rank killer as survivor. I'd imagine it has something to do with the emblem system

Honestly, even if you play killer at purple and higher green ranks, you'll go against red rank survivors.

I'm not as active as i used to be on dbd partly because of que times, i'm 50/50 on this issue, i'm a solo que survivor and the randoms i get matched with are ridiculous i kinda understand why players opt for swf but on the flipside playing killer at red ranks is stressful, you need to manage your time and weigh out the pros and cons of getting into a chase to be optimal and spread pressure

I see i'm not the only one with this issue, i'm also survivor rank 2 (and i can assure you all, i dont deserve that rank, i'm boosted AF!) But i keep going against rank 7+ killer and rarely vs red killers.

Can we "@" someone for some numbers? Is cool that "red rank" do " that %" of 3-4k per match, but it will be good to know if they are, i dont know, more than 50 in total?

    It's a mix of 2 things:

    1. Survivor ranking up is currently too easy and killer forces you to play an un-optimal way if you want to pip which means an uneven balance of each side in red ranks.
    2. The game isn't balanced for red ranks which leads to a very un-fun experience as killer when you go against actually decent survivors.

Why would I play killer when it's so much effort and frustration when I can play survivor and just relax? I just don't care nearly as much when I play survivor as well, and I think that's the 1v4 mentality it forces onto you sometimes. Sure, you can just play to "have fun" but if the only way you can enjoy current state of the game is to ignore everything that sucks and "have fun" there's a problem

it definitely is a lot easier to rank up as a survivor than it is a killer, especially with how 1 person disconnecting, which happens often enough, generally will make you not pip.

As a red rank survivor I find green and purple killers.
