Wasn't there meant to be 4 chapters for 2019? Where did that one chapter disappear?
I was looking at the roadmap for 2019, and got a bit confused since there were FOUR chapters on it, yet we have only gotten THREE. (Ghostface, Stranger things, Oni/Yui). Apparently, as i understood it, the one chapter that is missing was supposed to come AFTER stranger things and BEFORE the oni/yui chapter. So where did that one chapter go? Have i missed something? Feel free to fill me in.
Edit; I have now been informed that the year roadmap is not from january to january, but it seems it follows from may/june to may/june the following year. Therefore i have received an answer to my question, big thanks. Other then that there is a whole other discussion going on down the comments, warning ahead.

That roadmap extends until next year - until next May or June iirc.

The roadmap fundamentally went wrong. Dedicated servers are STILL not live on all platforms. Its just the devs promising things they cant keep.

Glad they aren't on console with the way the servers look like when I watch dbd I prefer peer to peer lol

The roadmap is not perfectly around the year, so the last chapter of the roadmap is this year probaly around the 3 month

Just like gantes says. DBD year roadmap is May/June 2019 - May/June 2020

This screenshot is also not really up to date. Chapter 14 had a new map, it was the Oni

You mean the Ash DLC that got spoiled early so they dropped it early?

The chapter you're talking about is the Cursed Legacy (Oni/Yui) chapter. The last chapter on the roadmap always releases in the next year. Demise of the Faithful (Plague/Jane) was part of the 2018 roadmap but released in March 2019.

Pretty much this.
They prioritize new content and cosmetics over anything else, but the community backlash in 2019 has been big enough to warrant them to do actual useful things. Issue is, even those useful things, they can't manage to prioritize correctly.
"Let's introduce a DC penalty!...but let's not fix issues like infinite loading screens, soft locks and other game breaking things happen to people on a daily basis forcing them to DC and now get penalized"
Not to mention numerous things they should be able to do, but haven't...
- Return legacy cosmetics to legacy players who lost them (yet, they find time to ban people for hacking it back in really quickly, even though you can see by their achievement dates they earned it)
- Fix hitboxes
- Get rid of ridiculous safe loops
- Rework Haddonfield
- Fix the speed gens get done (may or may not be directly related to gen speed, but more objective variety/map balance).
- Balance all the maps.
There's more, this is just the tip of the ice berg.
Bottom line is, that road map was just empty promises to lure people in. Sure they've done some, but expecting BHVR to get things done is like expecting a blind person to read a road sign.

Gotta love the "the roadmap was a scam" people not even being able to think for a little bit and realize the roadmap was NOT for the entirety of 2019, it was for the second half of 2019 and first half of 2020. You guys should check your facts a bit before throwing stones at the devs.

That doesn't disprove that some things they said would happen in 2019 are still in the "beta" phase.

This just in: every single roadmap ever is subject to change because no one can see the future.
Pumping out new content is A LOT easier than making a mobile game that runs properly or magically implementing perfect servers. If people stopped complaining for the hell of it they'd realize this.
1 -
This just in - subject to change is an excuse that can only be used by a company without proven unreliability.

Sure buddy. Stay salty.

They also ripped off people who bought Ghostface, calling it a chapter. No survivor, no map - just a basic killer.
0 -
Hell yeah brother. They totally ripped people off by calling it a chapter while charging THE EXACT SAME as the Ash DLC which also featured only one character. I felt ABSOLUTELY SCAMMED. /s

There is no such a thing as a "community backlash in 2019". People buy cosmetics and chapters, and battlepasses like crazy. The playerbase is at an alltime high according to Steamcharts. Comercially, Dbd is a success, so thats why Behaviour will not change their habits, because it works. Money speaks louder than words.
1 -
Oh, okay, lol.
Let's pretend the amount of complaints hasn't been high.
🙄
When you have to resort to that instead of an actual response, I know you have nothing left to say. Thanks for proving my point. <3

Complains are just empty promises, if people keep throwing money at Behaviour. Not any different from the developers' empty promises.

This game has the whiniest playerbase I've ever seen, and has always had. People haven't been complained more than they usually do.
Despite people like you trying to discredit the devs at all costs, the game is still a success :)

The people don't have to discredit the devs. They do a good enough job at it themselves. They have a reputation for what they do (and do not do), and it's not a good one. Despite what they make in cosmetic sales. You fail to realize why people complain. People complain because they love the game. They want it to succeed. They don't want it to die. They want it to be a good experience; but if you're going to put on your white knight armor and seriously say their priorities and methods are severely out of whack, you need to join us in reality.

Four killers in 2019... plague, Ghostface, demo and Oni

Honestly you sound like you don't even read the forums.
Most complaints are simply because people don't want to get better at the game or are looking at something else to explain their own shortcomings.
This game is in the best state it has ever been, or at least it was before this patch. The devs do a great job with what they have.
And this game is FAR from dying. People complaining are just an annoyingly loud minority. If the game was as bad as people make it out to be people would be quitting in large numbers, which they aren't.

L-O-L - Forums being used as a point of reference.
Yes, complaints about map balance is "about not wanting to get better". Complaints about hitboxes are about "not wanting to get better". Complaints about desync causing things like grabs to show the animation, but not actually happen are "about not getting better". Complaints about people buying a DLC, and the devs pulling a blatant "take the money and run" and nerfing something about it immediately after release is "not wanting to get better".
OKAY there guy. You got me.

People getting upset because of changes to DLCs is NOT JUSTIFIED. There's not a hidden line on the terms of service that entitles you to owning dumb stuff in the game because you paid for it.
And those complaints are a very small minority. Most of it is "devs bad survivor sided!!!111!!"1" and I can't take those people seriously.
0 -
It is absolutely justified. They nerf them IMMEDIATELY before survivors have the chance to adjust to any counterplay. Just like they did with Mettle of Man back when Ash was released.
I could understand if they nerfed him after a few months and people were still being consistently ######### on by Oni...but it only took a week to nerf Oni. They did not have a chance to develop a counter play to him. They did the same thing with original Freddy.
Also "those complaints a very small minority". Good lord. You're willfully ignoring things.
