Licensed Charaters and cosmetics (Mostly Ghostface)
On one of the AMAs a dev had replied to someone asking about shirtless Myers with them saying something like "We have to represent and keep the characters how they appear in the films". This explains why the licensed killers dont even get the frosty/hollowed eyes. But a couple of things stick out to me, Ash and the Saw Characters apparently dont have this stipulation because they got cosmetics not in their properties (I'm actually assuming for Ash and his sweater at least, i haven't seen the show). Tapp's outfits actually writes little pieces of his backstory adding to his canon and Freddy and Quentin both have stories taking place after the movie expanding the canon forward....this will also almost likely the end of their story since the next Nightmare film is going to be a reboot. Its actually kind of nice they basically gave new life to Quentin's character. If it wasn't for this game he would have been completely forgotten as the obscure love interest in the bad reboot that no one talks about, when he was definitely the best part of that movie. So much so that i feel like neither Wes Cravens Estate nor the original owners would really care what the Devs did with him, current legal pending ######### aside (Love the dev's for not taking knock off Nancy <3)
But beside all of that is Ghostface who is an original character with completely original outfits except for the mask from which he is licensed. He cant be bought with shards and neither can any of his cosmetics, so he seems like he doesn't differ from the other licensed characters....but why not? Danny Johnson belongs to nobody but Behavior, they had to pay to use the mask so it makes sense why he cant be bought with shards, and maybe each outfit is also tied to the licensed but it doesn't make sense to me that he didn't get frosty or hollowed eyes (which btw would be ######### amazing) and maybe more importantly is the question of rather or not he'll get a tome.
Ghostface is really who im wondering about since he has so much potential but its not really clear where he stands, is he not considered an original character at all? I also find it very strange Tapp would get a sweater but Pig wouldn't get frosty eyes. (Demogorgon makes sense since the sweaters Steve and Nancy got were from the show....also not really sure how they would make that work anyway.)
