The Siren possible next killer
So in the revelations lore entry for "6 feet under" they talk about a new unseen killer that lures men, kills them and feeds them to her pigs. Sounds like maybe The Siren? Anybody got any ideas on what she could be like? Havent seen any discussions on this yet and think its the strongest possibility I've seen yet!

Sounds plausible to me!
I want a screech ability that temporarily blinds survivors so you can mess up their looping mid chase.

Oh it would indeed be Happy Days when the day comes when I could blind survivors like they do me. I want a killer that has a flash grenade that could blind the whole lot of them if they’re together.

The counterplay is that the blind only works if they are facing away from the killer. The ability has a charge and if they face the killer on power release it doesn't blind.

I figured as a Siren she would sing a beautiful alluring song. Hearing it could entrance survivors. Her whole thing is luring them so maybe the survivors have to hit a hard to hit skill check to escape the song and stop walking towards her. Every time you escape the song it gets harder to escape or something like that. Maybe the survivor could cover their ears to ignore the song but in doing so they couldnt interact with anything. Im not too sure but am excited to see what they come up with!

I saw that clue as well. It's hard to say. A siren sounds unlikely as they are generally associated with the sea. Perhaps a succubus? It's kind of hard to picture how that would be done in a way that is fun and balanced though. The "feeds them to her pigs" bit also seems unlikely to be paired with either a siren or succubus too. Maybe "The Farmer's Daughter"? lol.

Yeah the whole feeding to the pigs part does throw it a loop. Who knows it could be something entirely different. Maybe the first killer with ai helpers "pigs"

If its Greek mythology it is more likely Circe the sorceress from the odyssey. She turned the men to pigs and was beautiful but deadly. I need to do more research to guess her powers

This is the best guess I've seen so far. I still find it rather unlikely. She really doesn't fit a horror genre type game. I expect the next killer to be a BHVR original. It is pretty tough to marry the idea of a seductress killer with owning a bunch of swine though.

I did do some reading on Circe and Medea but their lore doesnt quite fit well enough the story and i wouldnt really say is scary. Sorceress type stuff really doesnt fit into DBD theme per say. I really feel like Siren/succubus?(but they usually only seduce men) or maybe an original idea that is unique to BHVR. Like i said earlier maybe a killer with pets

I haven't listened to/read any of the lore, but I like the idea of a banshee/siren. Either way, I really hope the next killer is original and brings a unique mechanic into the game.

What you're thinking of is more akin to a Banshee, which is far from luring men... its more like blasting your eardrums to shreds with a high-pitched wail.
Basically, they're two completely different things.

Perhaps she makes survivors fall in love with her so they get some sort of debuff or something to hurt the other survivors, like Aphrodite from that one scooby doo episode

There was a pig farmer/rancher named Susan Monica who killed two men a few years ago and fed them to her pigs.

Where did you get "unseen killer?" It just said she lured them with an ad of some kind and that she took their money and fed them to her pigs. Sounds like a black widow seductress type. Which, I mean, still kinda siren like.

Only 2, technically 3 require different playstyles. Nurse, spirit, and huntress. You can just loop every other killer the same exact way, and then they have powers to try and block loops/ slow survivors/ down them faster. Then some also have a map pressure power, like freddy and demo teleports. But you can play against every killer the exact same way, but Nurse doesn't care about pallets, Spirit has a thousand extra mindgames and way more options at pallets, and huntress can take advantage of a pallet drop or vault when it would normally help the survivor more against a normal killer, but she can still get looped at some spots.

Oh yeahhhh that would be really interesting to see. But how would her legs work? Would she just swim through the air, lifted only a little off the ground (like nurse)?

It says that the beginning of the lore. I mean unseen as the archive guy says "a killer i have yet to see" or something like that. So its not that she is not see-able, she is just yet to be seen in action.

I think that's a bit broken maybe the screech ability should make it to where the survivor can't hear the heartbeat and game Audio sounds muffled

Yeah. I was just thinking today that I don't think any Killer except for the Hag has anything like that.
The whole "feeding to pigs" thing is also reminding me of a real life "black widow" serial killer, Belle Gunnes, who'd woo men into marriage, kill them, them bury then in her farm's hog pens. Not really something that translates to dbd, but a neat little thing nonetheless.

There's actually a horror movie called "Pigs" with a woman who fled an insane asylum, came upon a man's ranch and his pigs had developed a taste for human flesh. Every time someone died to them, a new pig joined the group. First guy who the woman killed(she wasn't the only killer) tried to force himself on her, the guy who owned the ranch fed him to his pigs. Something about some kind of Egyptian mythology. The pigs actually end up killing her too though, and then another pig joins their group.
Haven't watched it myself, just looked it up after reading the entry.

@Umbrae_pk @ithinkwedidprettygoo Traditionally, sirens aren't actually fish, or sea creatures at all. That's more of a modern interpretation. In ancient Greek art and mythology they were usually depicted as a kind of cross between women and birds, usually having birdlike legs. So how they would walk isn't really an issue.
Having said that, I'm expecting a less literal interpretation of the term "siren". The word can just be used metaphorically to refer to a woman who lures men to her, usually with sexual appeal, and then betrays their trust. So I don't think the killer will actually be a mythological creature, but rather a woman with that type of theme.

I see the similarities but theyre not gunna add just some normal person. I get that the girl they are talking about is a normal person from some place called "Terra Dark" but the entity will most likely twist her into something.

I think a siren that charms survivors would be cool. Like, whoever you catch can be charmed and has to work with you to down other survivors.
If they don't they experience heart break and die instantly. If they're charmed when you have all other survivors dead/sacrificed the game ends and the score screen says:
Match result: Loved.

Isn't sirens an ancient Greek mythology creature? If I remember correctly they lure men with their songs and drown them. Odysseus met them,and almost got drown by them in the Odyssey if I remember correctly. Interesting

Okay so whether anyone believes me or not is up to them but I swear to God, okay so my cousin went to pax and he came back and he was telling me that the he saw the next killer is gonna be "The Siren" now he lies a lot so I brushed it off as fake but idk

It would have to be intense enough to counter looping. Like the Clowns blurred vision for example is not enough to counter looping.
