Is Small Game EVER going to get a buff?
It’s a great perk to counter Hex perks, but as it stands it’s only useful in SWF, which is stupid as you already have the option to communicate about how many totems are left standing over mic. Can it not be changed so that if you run Small Game you can see how many totems are left? As when you play solo it’s pretty useless. Especially against NOED, as how am I supposed to know if all of the totems are gone? I can’t just keep running around every inch of the map wasting time. And if it’s a Trapper, Hag or pallet Freddy then that just complicates things even further. It IS a useful perk but as it stands, it’s just not good for solo play, which lets be real, is where it’s needed the most.

I have an idea for the perk because currently, it's very inconvenient when you're going against a defensive killer.
Small Game:
You have the undeniable capability to sense danger.
You can determine the number of totems remaining in the Trial.
When you are within an 12 meter range of a trap or totem, this perk will activate.
After being activated for 16/14/12 seconds, the auras of all traps and totems are revealed to you.

There is something called a map. Having a perk that reveals all totems and traps will just neuter certain killers like Trapper.

12 seconds per trap/totem is a lot of time. Besides, survivor is taking a perk slot to have the ability to see totems and traps. 😁

I can’t stand small game as a killer. It needs a nerf if you ask me. Same with slippery meat.

Why should it be buffed?
It's allready great against hexes, the only buff it could maybe get is reveal your location to other survivors?
Besides that it doesn't need a buff

Out of all the perks that need buffs you pick Small Game? It isn't even bad.
There are so many other perks that need attention sooner because they are simply bad.

Why ask that question when I clearly listed the reasons why it needs a buff? It’s only useful with SWF. It’s not solo friendly at all. Which is where it’s needed the most. So many killers run NOED, but how am I, when playing solo, supposed to know if any totems are left standing? Especially against killers like Trapper and Hag, who’s traps trigger Small Game. Asking for it to let us know how many totems are standing isn’t unreasonable at all. If you think it is. Well I guess that’s your problem.

It needs a simple buff - increased cleansing speed.

Well, small game is one of them.
It isn't BAAAADDD at all, but isn't worth it.

Still not viable for solo play. It needs to show how many totems are remaining.

True.

But there are a lot of perks that are bad, so I'd rather tackle those before the ones that just aren't worth it.

That's true.

But that’s just your opinion. I encounter NOED a lot in solo matches. Because nobody does totems. Or nobody knows that there’s still totems left that need cleansing. Showing how many are remaining would make it viable in solo lobbies. Because as it stands, it’s only really good at finding totems you know for a fact are still standing, like Ruin.

Everything that anyone is posting in this discussion is an opinion, that's kinda the point.
You don't need to know for a fact that totems are standing for it to be okay. You just pan your camera around as you traverse the map from gen to gen. Just because there isn't a totem counter doesn't make this perk bad.

I’ve already stated it’s virtually useless against trapper killers though, as that also triggers Small Game. So you have to spend so much unnecessary time trying to work out if totems are still standing. People complain about NOED a lot, what do people say? Use Small Game. Okay, that’s great in theory. But outside of SWF, Small Game doesn’t make it a guarantee you’ll get all of the totems, as there’s no way of knowing if totems are still standing without being able to communicate with your team, which kind of defeats the purpose of playing solo. It’s just an odd choice to have a perk that isn’t useful for solo players. Which is where this perk is needed most. SWF don’t need it.

"I’ve already stated it’s virtually useless against trapper killers though, as that also triggers Small Game."
And then all his traps are useless and you've already won the game anyway because he's just a large TR killer walking around M1'ing people, of which you should not be losing to.
"So you have to spend so much unnecessary time trying to work out if totems are still standing."
Even without using small game you just passively run into at least 2 totems. You act like you are going to waste the entire game circling the map to make sure totems are all cleansed, this is just an extreme exaggeration. If you even get 2 or 3 totems with Small Game ya'll have probably got them all since your team is getting some as well. Not to mention the range is large enough to search the whole map with it quite quickly even if you wanted to do that.
"People complain about NOED a lot, what do people say? Use Small Game. Okay, that’s great in theory. But outside of SWF, Small Game doesn’t make it a guarantee you’ll get all of the totems, as there’s no way of knowing if totems are still standing without being able to communicate with your team, which kind of defeats the purpose of playing solo"
Why in the world should it be a guarantee you'll get all the totems when using Small Game? That's ridiculous. Survivors have a total of 16 perks and you think you 1 perk out of 16 should counter 1 of the killers 4 completely?
Not being able to communicate with your team IS entirely the point of playing solo.
"It’s just an odd choice to have a perk that isn’t useful for solo players."
This is completely backwards. It IS more useful to solo players because you aren't able to communicate about who has done totems. Small Game in its current state is better for solo players than it is for SWF.

The only buff it needs is a totem counter but you can use detectives hunch if noed bothers you so much

It is a problem if it says how many totems are left
If it says how many totems are left it will force you to do literally every totem making every noed useless
Noed is allready pretty niche where most of the time it won't work, soo why change something only to counter 1 perk?
