SWF and the Terrible Ranking System
For the past week, I’ve been playing lots of Killer. I’ve gone from Rank 16 down to Rank 9. I noticed however, that as I got lower in the Ranks, the Survivors I’d face were at least 5-10 levels below me (for example, I’d be Rank 10 while facing Red Ranks 5-1). I don’t completely understand why this keeps happening, but I can hardly 4k because everyone keeps saving one-another with Flashlights and the usual blocking of an injured teammate.
This system really sucks because there’s this gigantic skill gap between me and the Survivors. I should be facing Ranks similar to me to keep the game fair with Survivors of my same skill. But, as I write this, I had to face a SWF who were all Red Ranks of 1, 3, 3, and 4. I couldn’t kill even one guy.
On the topic of SWF, this aspect makes playing Killer at this state of Ranking Systems TERRIBLE. If you’re me, and you have my experiences of playing as Rank 12-9 and face Red Ranks for most games, playing against coordinated 4-man SWF is very frustrating. It makes playing Killer non-enjoyable and ruins the Killer’s experience, especially when the Survivors t-bag, and send you messages saying “Ez baby killer” etc.
I don’t have an issue playing against SWF, I just have an issue with it when it couples with this horrid Ranking System that completely gaps you and the Survivors. Hell, I’d play as a Rank 8 Survivor and I’d play a Killer who’s Rank 16-15 and we’d completely steam-roll them.
On a side-note, playing a Level 1 Killer is almost a deathwish at lower Ranks if you’re looking to have fun and get some Sacrifices. You’ll almost never get more than a Sacrifice or two, because you’ll be lacking perks and add-ons and have to face Survivors with meta perks and items w/add-ons. Learned that with Ghost Face, Oni and Demogorgon. :[
Am I the only one experiencing this while playing? I’m on PS4. I hope I’m not the only one.

Matchmaking has been horrid for the last few weeks.
