An Amazing Clown rework idea!!!
I came up this clown rework considering his current play style, his strengths, his lore, game balance and most importantly, FUN to play and to play against.
First of all, the idea below is to add a new ability upon the current version of clown. His original base kit of bottle throwing would remain the same.
Kenneth Chase, the Clown
Once he found the best, he would cut it from their hand and proudly add it to his collection.
The Clown would always start a trial with an obsession. Every time he hooks the obsession, the clown would gain a finger that reduces the cool-down reduction on successful attacks by 10%. He can collect up to 5 fingers with a maximum of 50% cool-down reduction.
(Does not stack with Save the Best For Last. If this perk is used, his own collected fingers would not give the cool-down reduction)
Each time the obsession is hooked, the hooked obsession would gain a 5% speed penalty on healing, repairing, opening exit gates, chest searching, cleansing, up to 2 stacks of 10%.
This idea comes from one of his current playstyle that gives him the devastating power of movement slow with attack CD reduction. By integrating this playstyle into his base kit, the clown can have a much stronger chase potential and a little bit of built-in game slow in the mid to late game. Would this make the Clown OP? I don't think so. Is this gonna be fun to play and play against? Yeah it is. The appearance of the new perk Nemesis made this ability more playable and diverse. Furtive chase could also be used on the clown.
And this ability also follows his lore that Kenneth cuts people's fingers off for collection. When he got 5 beautiful fingers, he gains devastating power through his ring of collections. Survivors that have their fingers cut off would also get a penalty on gen/heal speeds.
