Insane Ruin synergy with Surveillance!
Holy crap.
I only now realized that Surveillance will highlight ruined gens constantly!
Start the game - run to yellow gen. It seems to be really insane information! You'll be always awarned about Survivors doing gens.
I really want to try this combo!

So instead of one perk required, you need two. And on maps that are the side of California, by the time you actually get to that gen, it's mostly completed. Unless you camp that gen, New Ruin can't do its thing, so what's the point?

You don't have to run Surveillance to make gens regress.
Though, yeah, you need 2 perks for the combo. Bu the same thing with Nemesis and PWYF.

If ruin gets cleansed then surveillance doesn't effect every gen anymore which means it's back to normal surveillance and corrupt intervention is better for stall

Yeah it's gonna be a fantastic combo, for the first 25 seconds of the game before your ruin breaks :)

They need a reason to leave a gen for it to start regressing. What will that reason be? You chasing them off the gen? Then you already know they are there so what good is surveillance?

What's the point of being excited about ruin at all if you aknowledge this fact then?
Ruin has always been high risk high reward, it may last 30 seconds, it may last more than two minutes.
And you are mistaken if you think that a gen is more likely to get done in 30 seconds with the current state of ruin, it's more likely to get done in 30 seconds with the nerf; because to complete a gen in 30 seconds you need three people working on it, which currently translates to skill checks that regress progress and hex skill checks that deny the progression bonus.

The change may sound good on paper and could open to some interesting build but ultimately it's still a hex perk. Survivors wouldn't even realize Ruin was in the game in the first place lmfao

I doubt all gens will be highlighted at the start of the game. Ruin can't regress gens that were never repaired in the first place. You would have to wait for a survivor to start repairing a gen, and then stop repairing it, which is unlikely to happen if you're not nearby.

Until they cleanse the totem you will always know what generators are being repaired
Any killer worth their salt should realise how immensly powerfull this is
And even if ruin get's cleansed surveilance is still a strong perk on it's own
