Devs nerf both sides "equally"
Seeing a bunch of people comparing the doc/ruin nerf to DS/MOM/Insta's/Pallet vaccum/BL etc...
Last time I checked ruin was an easy to deal with perk at high ranks that could get cleansed in 20 seconds...
All of those perks and changes above could be abused to very high extents to become outright unfair and broken to the killer, thus warranting a change/nerf.
Was ruin broken? Were great skills checks that hard to hit? Was doc broken? Was legion broken?
Survivor bias is blatant.

It's not just that why people are angry, it's why they were nerfed specifically, you could say the exact same thing for perks like dead hard, overused and annoying for the other side. The main point of anger is the devs don't care why ruin was used so much and instead of fixing a problem and nerfing ruin they just said f it and skipped right to nerfing ruin meanwhile the maps are still as gigantic as they always were. Self care was nerfed because it meant why bother finding a teammate to heal you when you can just do it yourself.
