Kill Switch update: The issue affecting Baermar Uraz's Ugly Sweater has been fixed and the cosmetic has been reenabled in all queues with this update.

How can BHVR be so out of touch?

So, they want things to be easier for new players but what they're ended up doing by nit slowing generator progress but removing ruin is lead killers to replace it with NOED, slugging, face camping and tunneling even more than before leading it to being even less fun for new players than it was just with ruin. Ruin was atleast easy to counter right from the start of the match just by spending a bit of time looking for the totem.

These Doctor changes are unnecessary. Yeah, Doctor was somewhat annoying to play against but that's it. He wasn't a good killer, he was barely mediocre. You've now made him absolutely useless. This will lead to doctor players (such as myself) to move on to killers which are better such as ghostface and hillbilly which can be even less fun to play against for new players as they're better at actually getting the kills.

A lot of killer mains, because of these changes, will either leave the game or switch to survivor leading to increased queue times.

As a killer main myself I honestly dont care about the ruin nerf, I can just run corrupt and NOED instead and everything is fine, possibly even more annoying for new survivors. You've done the opposite of what you intended here.

If I now need to slug and whatnot to get the 4k's because my boy Doctor has been massacred and ruin is nerfed then I'm damn well gonna do it and I'm sure a lot of killer mains will feel the same as the game was already survivor biased and it is now more so, so to counter this if I'm gonna have to be a scumbag of a killer player to actually have a better chance of "winning" then I will.

To be clear, one of the mai issues with the doctor changes is being able to go back to madness 1 from madness 3 and the delay

Out of touch is very much the right wording. I see a lot of people very quick to judge that they don't care, they're greedy/lazy/whatever your poison, but the long and short of it is that there is a clear disconnect with the experience of MANY players vs their interpretations of what the playerbase wants to change in the game. Its a damn shame, because they clearly DO care a lot about these things, and I feel bad with how members of the dev and mod teams get sauteed every time they post their personal opinions in a thread. But it really is a case of many people having different experiences as them within their own product, and the two sides not being able to see eye to eye.

  • One of the pitfalls for many products/servi es/businesses is designing by community.

The devs should have a direction they want to head towards and stick to it. Otherwise they'll end up like that recent Disney movie which turned out to be so messy because they tried to cater to everybody's opinions.
