Name one reason to play DbD!
In the last month or two there's been a lot of negative posts about people saying they are going to up and drop DbD! Many of these posts are just general complaints, but others do lay out good criticisms. I'm in a bit of a rut aswell and have been for the last few weeks.
So here I am, asking the community reasons TO PLAY rather than TO LEAVE for once! Let's remember why we all got to love this game in the first place.

It can be fun.

If you ignore rank and rewards through winning the game is actually enjoyable.
Most users complaining are very experienced red ranks that have hundreds-thousands of hours of game time.
My group, we play for fun. Whether it’s dying immediately or dying in EGC; with escapes or not.
as a killer, go in with zero expectations. 1-2 kills is better than none, so don’t sweat for a 4K or get upset about playing a strong team.
if you ignore what most consider toxic gameplay, the game is actually very fun.

4k's for killer.
EGC hook save escapes as survivor.

If you're a masochist, Dead by Daylight is quite enjoyable.

Um...
Great now you got me assessing my recent life choices - thanks a lot...

Successfully landing a Head On on a killer that’s carrying a survivor
Landing Cross-map hatchets with Huntress

There are plenty of reasons why to start playing DbD, problem is that my suggestion to this hypothetical new player would be to start as survivor, but right now queue time is just too long.
I would tell him: wait a couple of weeks, I'll tell you if Devs patch out the match making. If they don't / can't.. don't bother for now.

I'm gonna finish getting all the perks on 2 more survivors and then I'll just play when new killer releases for a few days, if he can bought with shards

So Head On will cause the same as a pallet drop? Killer drops survivor? Never thought of that.

With the ruin nerf I don't think I'll enjoy playing most of the killers that much, but I still have Ghostface, Wraith, Trapper, Freddy, Hillbilly... I need to get better with Spirit... I can barely handle good survivors with Myers, not sure how that will work out with the ruin nerf.
Maybe I'll stick to those until I get bored. One of the things I liked about the game was the variety of killers and powers, but once you get to red ranks it feels like you are more likely not touching a lot of the killers you've already paid for.

Yeah it really makes the killer sad inside. But that's okay. :)

Every game is different. DBD has tons of RNG and you never know what will happen in the next match. That being said, RNG can make you not have fun as well if the cards are not in your favor.
Either way, I like the element of surprise because every match plays out differently :)

I actually brought a few days ago a friend to buy Dbd and we played it. I consider me as a good gaming teacher and he already knows how to hit great skillchecks, loop jungle gyms and how to mindgame. He still forgots to cuddle walls and his movement, pathing and pallet/window finding is bad, but I mean he has no clue how pallet spawns work with 10 hours ingame xD.
I told him Dbd is a very fun game especially in a swf team. It is really unbalanced and it might frustrate him but as a "play once or twice a week" its a really good game for just 20 euros and you have a insane long progress leveling system that works well and motives you pretty well. He had alot of fun and want to play it in the future aswell, hes just busy but once he will find more time we will keep playing.
Fun fact btw: He found that the genspeed is way too fast even from his first game and in the other games he had no issue with ruin skill checks (he still hitted good skill checks alot but he didnt found it that frustrating) and dont understands why ruin is getting nerfed.

The art design on the game is unique and can be great to look at.

I don’t have a lot of time during the day, so it’s nice to be able to play a game or two and feel sastified. Most other games can’t give me that feeling, DBD’s quick pick up and play style is probably my favorite thing about it.

Lack of a populated alternative in the same genre. Also, the licensed killers. If they weren't in this game, I'd of jumped ship a long time ago.

Dead by Daylight has a pretty nice DLC Model.

It's infinitely more complicated than other games I'm playing right now. I just mean the perk system, figuring out different builds, inferring what builds other people in the game are using, etc. All that probably becomes second nature to experienced players, but this game is actually mentally challenging in a way that is fun, not punishing.

The Ruin Chan—- I mean, you get to play against some of the most iconic horror film characters like Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and Amanda! 😊
