A question directed to the devs
Hello Dev team of BHVR.
What is your current vision for the game?
What do you focus on in 2020?
How would your perfect DBD look like?

I've read someone say that the DBD team counts years from birthday to birthday, so until the next anniversary your best reference is still the 4th year roadmap. Also, at the next anniversary I'd expect them to cover topics around year 5 and the future of DBD in general.
Here's a link to the current roadmap:

Thank you for your effort.
Unfortunately this roadmap is outdated and we all are aware that dedicated servers, matchmaking etc still need a lot of improvement and I still are not able to extrapolate the devs overall vision for the game, from this map alone.
I just want to tune in, listen what they have to say and then decide for myself if I want to be a part of it and actively want to support them or if they go in a direction I personally don't enjoy that much, what is absolutely fine, and focus my energy else where.
I just seek some clear answer so I can make up my mind and make an informed decision.

That makes sense and I hope you get a reply here. If not, then your best chance is the next developer Q&A stream, or the next anniversary

@Cymer there is a developer Q&A next week and the platform to submit questions is currently live - https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/120618/

Well, the stream came and went, I still am lost for a straight answer from the devs...they either don't read/see my question or don't care to tell me their vision of the game.
All I got from the stream was, they want to focus more on the Rift, a feature I never cared about and still don't understand its reason beside more greed for money.
What has drawn me initially to DBD was the horror and survivor-killer dynamic.
During the stream it has become clear, they try to cater to the survivor experience more, logically, there are more survivors so more possible income.
I have written in another post to @Peanits about how nerfing toolboxes is stupid an nonsensical. Toolboxes either still will be viable an used, so any nerf would just be a placebo nerf or they go overboard and make other items more viable during a match. But I cannot imagine that. Tweaking gen-times on the other hand would really solve the issue of too fast of a game.
I still don't understand why the killer is on a clock and the survivors basically can dictate the pace of the game, even can decide to not play the game, take it hostage and force the killer to dc, given a big enough skill gap. With the current matchmaking not that hard to accomplish.
I rather see the EGC starts from the beginning and the survivors have to complete the trial within 10-15 min. Now we would get a fast paced game where survival is really big stake. You need to finish gens, have to decide, do you have enough time to cleanse totems, go for the unhook, bodyblock or get chased or will you eventually run out of time?
Such a horror game I would love to play and be a part of, but instead we have a glorified bully simulator.
I really love the game, but I can no longer justify my $120+ investment into BHVR.
It really hurts me to let go. It was a fun time...but now making money seams to be more important than the great game it could have been.
If they just would have stayed true to the initial game, I would have gladly supported them with my money to no ends!
