The third in this short quartet of forums, I would like you to give your opinions on the best starting killer for new players based on how easy they are to learn and how easy they are to master. Don't forget their three teachable perks and their overall reputation amongst the community. Also keep in account their overall dominance when it comes to matches.

Note: No DLC will be included. The Huntress WILL be an option this time around due to members thinking that David should've been included in my survivor ones.

Note 2: The Doctor and The Hag will be on the list as console exclusives.

I feel that this will be a bit too obvious with people picking Wraith as the best starting killer and Nurse or Huntress as the worst, but I can't make a survivor based one and leave the killers hanging.

The ability for Wraith to sneak around is great for new players to get used to the maps as well as giving them a slight stealth advantage to sneak up on oblivious survivors.

4.6m.s, a lot of information, M&A. So basically a normal m1 killer with info so you can be more strategic with gens knowing where the survivors are

A great killer, but I feel like Wraith has the slight edge for new killers as new Survivors will not be used to the Wraith's shimmer and will be really confused, as they rely on the heartbeat to locate the Killer.

    The Hag (Console Only)

I found the hag to be especially effective at low levels because of how many traps she gets and the fact that guarding gens and points of interest with her is fantastic due to her teleportation. Killers like hillbilly, nurse, and huntress require a lot of mechanical skill in order to do well and can take a little longer to get the hang of. The trapper is nice to but the fact that he has to run around all over the place to get his traps and can activate them himself puts him below the hag in my opinion. The Doctor I love but really needs his perks and upgrades before he starts to truly bring the survivors to the basement. The wraith is also a good choice I remember playing him a lot staring out but he lacks the same map pressure as the hag.

The Doctor was my first killer and was simple to start, survivors cannot hide when you use him.

Easy to understand, easy to pick up and effective against new players.

Hags good as she has trap security and teleportation. Will help get you familiar with those play methods.

His power is really straight forward, you dont have to do fancy stuff during chases so you can fully focus on the chase itself, you can sneak up on people who are trying to hide(if you are new you will also be playing against semi new survivors so they wont see you coming) and he really trains you to learn the basics of a chase without being influenced by a power(like nurse)

The has great mobility and the ability to insta-down survivors if they make a mistake. He has a high skill ceiling and figuring out a new trick is going to feel very rewarding to new players while at the same time he is still one of the strongest killers in the game even if you don't use his power in chases at all.

Toss up between Doctor and Wraith.

Doctor (not the new rework) power was a tool that allowed new players to find survivors on maps they have no knowledge of. It gave them a quick was to get into chases so they could play cat and mouse rather than hide and seek. This power drops off once you gain some skill though because predicting where people will be isn't hard with experience.

Wraith sort of worked like Doctor in the fact that his invisibility allowed you to get into chases quicker without the survivors "dissapearing" when you're a new player who cannot follow tracks. This gives new players a feeling like they are chasing rather than always trying to search. While Wraith may have a powerful playstyle (made popular by Tru3 but not invented by Tru3) he falls off if you do not adhere to this strict build/style.

If you are a player who is well versed in horror games and grasps the simple mechanics of tracking then I would suggest starting with Hillbilly or Hag.

Hillbilly will give you mobility so you can get into the chases faster since you seem good at following where people will be.

Hag will allow you to gain a feel for loops on maps and set you up to learn popular spots survivors like to run to and teach you a little about trap placements.

how did WRAITH win this, he's one of the worst killers in the game. Everyone knows billy and nurse are top tier and have better perks than wraith

You seem to not realize that this is the best starting killer; the killer meant for new players to gather knowledge on the maps and to learn tactics to use against survivors. Due to Billy having a high skill-cap, he is normally not good to start as. Especially with the god awful matchmaking.
