People still don't get it?
People still think a couple people who claim to be quitting on the forums are what is causing survivor queue times. I'll put it simply for you: it is much, much easier to rank up as survivor over killer. In addition, many survivors are swf and when survivors are swf they are all bumped up to highest rank so that increases high ranks by up to x4. Therefore queue times are much more affected by ranks versus player count. The notion that less than 20% of dbd players play killer is silly.

or hear me out.... maybe it's because there are more people playing survivor than there are killers.

Over 80% of players are survivors? Evidence?
0 -
evidence there not?

You know, it is all about keeping the narrative alive.
I mean, I play at the same time as many Killer Streamers. And I was in their games quite frequently, but not since the SWF-Change. And they are on the same Dedicated Server(s) and even in the same Country (and I am pretty sure that at least one of them is living in a town next to me, lol). But apparently they have quit DBD, despite the fact that they are streaming it on a regular basis.
I would be interested if some stats will be released how many Players play Killer and Survivor at certain times and how people want to hold up to their narrative afterwards.

Evidence its only because of SWF??
1 -
this goes both ways bud.
1 -
Nope. How about a claim?
0 -
Longer que times will be due to these
- people who refuse to play killer
- people who are waiting for the new tome (me)
- Killer is harder to pip (even though i wish you could 2pip)
- SWF, all it takes its 1 red mixed with purple and theyre using up red rank killers etc.
- Lack of players overall in different time zones
- Players that de-rank just before reset (always longer waits after reset for 1-2weeks)
- There was also a poll somewhere that showed 80% prefer survivor, which is split right to 4:1 but when factoring in all the other points is why it causes issues.
7 -
you claimed that it was bc of SWF without evidence whatsoever
I did the same thing , and yet you ask me for evidence.

I really doubt that this is the only reason atm. I lately just play against Green ranks like 90% of my games. But at the same time iam aware that i dont get matched with killers nearest to my location, that are in the same ranks as myself and are playing at the same time. I even tried to get into lobbies with a friend of mine, but this never worked. Atm the whole matchmaking is broken af and nothing gets fixed.

^ This.
There's no reason to think long queue times are only caused by one thing. Any one thing probably wouldn't lead to that noticeable of an effect. It's much more likely a combination of things that's making it so bad.
5 -
Logistics.
It takes 4 Survivors to make a match but only one Killer.
Therefore, to have instant Killer Q times, you must have more Survivors than Killers.
3 -
If you think that, then wait until the ruin patch goes live. Que times will be longer than the Avengers movies...😂
3 -
4 survivor = 80%
1 killer = 20%
80% + 20% = 100%
Majority is Survivor. Meaning for every 1 Killer is at least 4 Survivors. Que times are longer due to less available Killers looking and more Survivors looking.
Matching making and rank reset favors High Rank Killers and Low Rank Survivors in terms of speed.
High Rank Survivors and Low Rank Killers suffer longer Que time for some odd reason.
Hense the reason that matching making gives weird matching making I.E High Rank Survs and Low Rank Killers. It was supposed to be +6/-6 Ranks within your Rank that gradually expands to fit all ranks.
Does common sense count as enough evidence for you?
3 -
You forget ranking is a thing. Low rank high killer queues + High rank high survivor queue = ranking/matchmaking system problem.

There's no way over 80% of dbd players are survivors. That's ridiculous and near impossible.
1 -
I don't think it is 80/20. I think it might be 70/30 or 60/40
1 -
What??? So you think there are enough killers playing?
0 -
Your right its probably higher in all honesty or everyone would have a instant lobby.
3 -
I think there aren't enough at Red Ranks. 10+ minute Survivor Q's mean there aren't red rank killers.
2 -
That's because too many survivors are in red ranks. Red rank killer amounts have probably not even decreased.
0 -
Perhaps. Perhaps not.
Why argue over this though? We have no way to know.
3 -
You made the original claim. Burden of proof is on you, bud. Back it up.
Fact is, there's more logical, and observable evidence to backup that there are simply killers leaving than there is for your theory; and that's what they all are, theories. Some are stronger than others, obviously.
5 -
True. We all have our own beliefs, only the devs can say who's right.
0 -
so you're basically saying there arent enough killers in red ranks to compensate with all the SWF?
2 -
You could say that
0 -
so you're agreeing with my statement that there are more survivors than killers ?:)
1 -
In red ranks of course (more than 4x I mean)
0 -
Yes, due to non red rank survivors also getting paired with the red rank killer just because of their one red rank friend. Might also be why many low rank killers can't get games either except replace red with purple and green.
2 -
4% of owners have r1 survivor achievement
2,3% of owners have r1 killer achievement
1 -
Makes sense. No shortage then?
0 -
So, one more way SWF breaks the game besides fuking up the balance.
1 -
If there's only 20% of players playing as Killer as of now, RIP to this game after the next update.
1 -
Apparently over 33% of people play killer.
