Survivors hiding and doing nothing

How do I combat this other than look everywhere? This has been happening to me lately as killer. I get 2 people dead and then the last 2 just hide and i patrol the gens and they dont work on anything so i have to look in every corner of the map and inspect lockers. Almost always find them together hiding in the corner of the map. This has dragged on games for 10 minutes or so if they hide well. Super boring to go against. How do I combat this? I know i could use whispers but that's all i can come up with. Does anyone else experience this as well?

I have, and your only other options besides searching every corner of the map are Whispers or go afk until they get so tired of waiting they have to either DC or work on a gen.

Make sure to report them for holding the game hostage.

Definitely helps but only if you are within range and they arent crouching

Definitely reported them but i did for unsportsmanlike (afking, idling, refusing to participate in normal gameplay) just kinda annoying. Thanks for the reply!

I use whispers too, which is really good tracking perk.

If in my games the survivors have stopped working on generators, and the requirements for hatch to spawn has been met I start looking for the hatch. The reason is when survivors stop working on generators it's often due to a key being in the game.

BBQ and Chilli is a really good perk for locating immersed survivors. I often try to hook a survivors 32 metres away from the general location I believe other survivors to be. BBQ and Chilli can also be used to locate your slugs.

Infectious Freight is also a good perk in locating survivors, as well is nurses calling.

My main killer is build BBQ and Chilli, Whispers, Nurses Calling, and infectious freight.

Before I deranked so that I could learn how to play as Spirit and the new Doctor for the upcoming rift, I was a red rank killer and dealing with immersed survivors is still my biggest weakest as a killer. Although, how I see it is that if they are just hiding and not working on generators, so whilst they're annoying to find they are basically acting as a secondary ruin, are more of a harm then a help to their team's chances of escaping.

You mustve been way ahead of them. If there were only 1 or 2 gens repaired, it wouldve been too risky fir them. They at that point tried locating the hatch and just tried to be the last survivor alive

I suspect they were in a team and doing it on purpose. Both were full health and hatch had not spawned yet. Just hiding in the corner to make a miserable game for me.

I did have BBQ but they mustve been in lockers and they werent close enough for infectious. Nurses wouldnt have worked either because they were full health. They werent even immersed sneaking around. Just in the corner of the map making me walk around and search for 10-15 min

The thing is once the game is down to 2 survivors and they need to repair 3+ gens, the game is pretty much over. The only thing they can do at that point is to find the hatch and wait for their teammate to be downed, then run and escape once its opened. Thats their best bet at survival.

I Just had a match as clown. I played kind of fair, I mean, I Just hooked twice an Ace that used DS and that was at second stage. I dont know why, but this enraged another Ace that decided to hide all the match and not help anybody. Result? Far exit Gates, he escaping, teabagging, "eZ killEr nOob go ######### yOurSelf l2pLay"... Gosh. Use whispers if you have it. It's often useful when there's only a survivor left. Peace.

i had a team like this the other day, 3 murky reagents and a Yamoka offering, 4 p3 blendettes with Urban, spent 20 minutes hiding in bushes, they went down insanely quickly, reported them all for unsportsmanlike behaviour

Whispers is the #1 way to combat this. The second is monitor and abuse. It gives survivors much less time to find a place to hide while you also are aware they are in the area.

Yeah you can run other tracking perks, but who wants to change their build for this silly gameplay.

I don't understand this. Why not at least try to further the objectives. For me, I always go back and at least try to work on gennys. And when I get found, I work on my loops. Probably why I am often the one found in this scenario, and unfortunately slugged why the killer looks for the other #########. Perhaps because I was a long time killer and have no patience for people just doing nothing. I mean, it's a game. You are not really going to die.

Work on a ######### genny, get found, give a chase and move on to the next match.

P.S. Killers, if you do find me, working on the gennys with just two of us left alive. Please, please, please, just ######### hook me. Trust me I want out of this game as much as you all do.

Record it and report to BHVR for holding the game hostage.

Hiding is allowed, hiding so you can search all the chests and maybe get a key to escape through the hatch is allowed, but hiding, ignoring gens, and just hoping the killer gives up looking for you and DC's is not allowed.

This happened to me on the farm yesterday. Killed two and the last two just hid forever. After searching everywhere I just stood on top of one of the hills and just watched closely for any movement and finally I saw some scratch marks in the distance and got them.

I honestly think that if a game has been going on for more than 20 minutes endgame collapse starts, it would fix the issue of having 2 or possibly more survivors holding the game hostage, and to not encourage waiting for this timer, only award half the escape points and emblem scores if the game reaches that point.

If it is down to two survivors, i always get caught because i am the one that does gens, while the other one hides. Happend to me so often, that i think of doing it myself. Why should the guy not doing anything be the one that escapes?

And not doing anything is not even the case, i think of going around killing all totems, then go to a gen, work on it for 10 seconds, and crouch to the next, work there for 10 seconds, so i actually do play the game, but in a very cautious way.

I am not even angry with the killer about this, but with the other person. And to be fair, i had one killer that caught me at a gen, hit me once, and stopped chasing me, until he finally found the other guy. If more killer did that, the reward for just hidding wouldnt be so big.
