Why does snap out of it take you to madness 1?
like seriously why was this change even put into the game madness is barely even threatning anymore

I think the answer is because Static Blast makes you go up a tier instantly while Static Field was slower at raising madness so to counter how fast madness rises now they make it so that you go back to tier 1 when you snap out of it.

Because if all survs were tier 2 and in your terror radios and u used static blast all of them would I be incapacitated and would be “ frustrating “ to go against

It's because increasing madness tiers is now much easier. Did you even try to test it out or just read the patch note and immediately come to complain about it?

Because how easy it is to reach a new tier. I really don’t like it (especially because it means the affliction add-ons not as good anymore), but we have to appease the rank 20 Survivors. Looks like Madness 2 is going to be stronger than Madness 3.

Because its way easier to put them on tier3 than before, like way way easier, so to compensate for it now snap out puts you back at 1.

Yeah they double nerfed it. Skillcjecks are easy and it takes you all the Way to one.

Now, you can also stop the action and it retains your progress.
