(From survivor perspective) Without ruin, games are boring..
Have been playing survivor today and i know it is obvious, but sorry, i still feel the need to say it: Without ruin, games are very boring. Gens are flying like crazy unless a nurse or a billy with speed addons and a good map is in the ring.
There was a reason, 80% were using ruin. I am not saying, survivors are op now, i guess Killer will adapt but those games are definitly way faster then they used to be.
I hope bhvr has something in mind that changes the dynamic of the game, at the current state, it is not very pleasant.

For me I'm in two minds about it all. On the one hand, I hated going against Ruin, but I understood why, and it did lengthen matches as survivor for me which is better since a match that ends in 3 minutes or less is boring. But, since Ruin has gone, I'm seeing more killers using new perks or tactics which feels like it's brought back a lost love for the game. I'm still seeing killers using Ruin, and it is still effective, but you can really see the huge difference in it all. I guess we just need to see how it goes over the next couple of weeks.

Stop using toolboxes. Go break totems. Don't bring an item at all and go loot chests. Go be altruistic. Watching a gen regress and freeze for a few seconds because someone missed a skill check was annoying.
Or go play killer. You'll have a ton to do if you're so bored.
The real solution is to fix ranking and matchmaking so red ranks stop getting paired with green ranked killers.
Good killers already didn't run ruin as it was unreliable.

this patch will, over time. make killers, either quite, mori/camp/ play dirty. or play survivor. and survivor Q times will only skyrocket. games are already. wait 10min for a survivor game, then the game is over in about 5 minutes due to no ruin. more time in lobby than the game

I dont use toolboxes. I dont break totems because.. how is that more fun? I loot chests. I be alturstic when i have to be.
And i will play killer.
That is another problem, a big one tho.

I had the same games as before. No one complained about their ruin been cleansed shortly after the start, or gettin worked through. Many didnt run ruin, most likely the same amount as before. Nothing really changed. I also watched my german high rank killers streamer on twitch: None of them had any real complains, just an alltimes toxic fogwhisperer, i dont wanna name, was still crying about everything thus even having decent games.
The only thing that changed is that those who made themselfs believe to rely on ruin are mad. But thats nothing to care about, cause we just wait til they get better or leave due to be unskilled for high ranks.
