Rank dispute

Sup, guys- the thing I wanted to talk and hear about is ranking in general and maybe provide and hear some ideas on how to fix it for both sides.

The premise right now is: Both Killer and Survivor have a screwed up ranking system, that people who don't really belong can reach a rank they were never supposed to reach in the first place.

This causes a lot of problem in the forums, too. Since often it it not only thrown around what kind of 'main' y'all are, but also a 'you must be yellow rank' and stuff. This might be true, as with some Killers and for Survivors in general it is far to easy to pip, even if the match went horrible.

My suggestion for Killers would be to separate them into categories, in which they often use their power or are simple m1 Killers. Right now there is just one system and it allows Killers like Legion to pip immensely and insanely fast, where as another one like Plague- when she uses her power it actually hurts her in getting pips. This either throws people to far ahead or holds them back from where they should be headed.

Seperating Killers into two categories in a ranking system would probably help these cases dwindle down to, if not completely solve these cases.

Survivors on the other hand: What is the definition of a 'good' and a 'great' survivor? How can you rank a survivor that is playing completely stealthy in contrast to one that loops. One that plays for his own life and survival in contrast to one that is selfless and makes sacrifices. How can you put all aspects of a survivor into something that would be worthy of a pip?

Maybe- just maybe and I would like to hear some thoughts- we try out a 'role' system. A matchmaking and pip system that works for the person in que indivdually. He can sort himself under something like 'bold and selfless'; 'bold and lonewolf' or the other 'stealthy and selfless'; 'stealthy and lonewolf'.

The categories would then provide the individuals with a certain amount of actions and points in the trial they need to accomplish. And only then are they granted a pip.

There is more to go around, but I'd like to first hear some thoughts about what other people think. Can something like a new system finally keep people where they should supposed to be?
