Ahm... What...? The New Doctor experience...

My experience as a Rank 1 killer and a Rank 2 survivor...

As survivor: I don't know if it's a bug or if it should work like this, but using Calm Spirit, even with the new ability I just never screamed. About the experience against him regardless of what I just mentioned of the perk, he feels... Fast as F... He was right there even with sprint burst or Lithe, he was just right there. Don't get me wrong, it is counterable and I survived in 6/8 games I played against him, but I don't know if it's just my perception, but he's REALLY fast.

As killer: First... Matchmaking... As a red rank 1 killer playing doc I got to play 3 games in a row against 3 greens and 1 purple... Yes.. 4k... And in the other 6 games that I actually played against purple and red yes... I 4k in 5 of them and 3k in 1 of them cause of hatch... And about gameplay: YES, he feels fast as hell but his reach feels REALLY small, so, I guess it's "balanced"? I do like him till now, and he's red rank viable. I tried him in new Lery's, Rottenfields, The Game, Red Forest and everything went the same way, I think I'm not mistaken about his speed... The only map that gave me trouble was Coldwind, that's where it took me more of a challenge to get the 3k+

My build as Doctor: Whispers (this perk in level 3 with his ability is WAY too god) + Monitor and Abuse + Unrelenting + BBQ

What about you guys? Any comments about his speed? Powers? Addons?

In MY opinion: He's really fun to play as and against him now, thanks Devs, I still have to play more against him and as him to get more intel on maps like the new Yamaoka

Oh good, it's not just me that thinks he's super fast now. I thought maybe I was just imagining it, but I feel like he just gains on you super fast. Even if you see him coming at a distance and start running, within a few seconds he's just already on you.

It's not just you, and as I can see you played against him, try using him...

Lol, unfortunately I don't own him or I'd give him a shot, but it's good to know I'm not going crazy.

Might just be you are used to him being slowed because of Treatment mode? Haven't played as him yet, but will probably have a few games as him today. I spent yesterday going in as Wraith and Oni now that Wraith's bug is fixed and Oni had his turn limit removed, and they feel so much better.

I really have to say you're gonna have a surprise, as soon as I played him he felt like the god of speed to be honest, have in mind what I say, he has a small reach, don't try to Freddy

I'm just hoping I don't fall in love with how he plays. I've got my hands full enough trying to get Clown to P3, I don't need to worry about Doctor too.

I think you will, please come back to this thread after trying him and tell me how it went.

I NEVER played as him before dude, now I think I'm gonna main him along Trapper and GF... I actually have the six eyed glowing doctor skin and I use a Baseball bat, he looks amazing... And he's really fun to play.

    Just a tip, B-R-I-N-G I-N Whispers

I never really played him before either, even if he was the first killer I ever played as. I've got a whole grab bag of mains, so that bag might get even bigger, we'll have to see.

    I've got

    • Wraith, my first true main since January 2018 when I started playing.
    • Legion, I took a break from around Spirit's release until Plague's release. Bought Plague, Spirit, and Legion, and I liked their playstyle the most, even if they did get utterly destroyed with nerfs.
    • Ghostface, I love the original Scream, and really liked his stealth oriented gameplay.
    • Demogorgon, never watched ST, but I love Demo's design and how he really gives you a sense of power when you play him. That roar is amazing.
    • Plague, I really liked her Hallowed Catalyst outfit, so I started playing her.
    • Oni, liked his design and samurai vibes.
    • Clown, I really like his elephant cosmetic, and am trying to get better at him.
    • Huntress, more of a secondary main. I picked her up around March 2018, but she always took the backseat to Wraith.
    • Billy, same deal as Huntress, more of a secondary main.

But you have to have your favourite, come on, for me it's Trapper, ALWAYS, but Doc is trying to get GF behind though

For me it's definitely Wraith. My first true main, it's always a fun game with him.

A specific skin you like for him? For me it's the glowing one, but if they added an "icecream man" I'd buy it ASAICO

minus his addons being reallllly annoying to play against (iri king and all that jazz) its okay. I dont like the new music at all though thats my only beef.

I'll have to try Play with Your Food and Nemesis combo to make it even worse feeling.

I've mained Doctor since September 2017. Yesterday I got the chance to play a couple of games as him, and I was loving it. I’m using my same build that I’ve used for a while now (BBQ, Distressing, Unnerving Presence, and Overcharge with Iridescent King and Moldy Electrode).

It's great not having to worry about switching modes and having to move at 110% just to shock Survivors. The Static Blast is great at finding Survivors that I’d normally miss with the Static Field and it’s a guaranteed Madness tier up. Iridescent Queen is a really cool add-on. I’ve been thinking about using it instead of Moldy Electrode.

I do not like the new Snap Out of It at all because your afflictions lose a good amount of their effectiveness when you go all the way down to tier 1 and it’s not very threatening when you can just stop and restart it anywhere. The afflictions should work at tier 1 now and all of the other changes should be reverted. I still don’t think that the Obedience add-on should’ve lost its Exhaustion effect. The reverse skill checks should’ve been part of his base kit instead. Some of his other add-ons were just slightly adjusted to fit the Static Blast. Increasing the Madness gain from Static Blast and Shock Therapy is kinda worthless now that you’re guaranteed to go up a tier with the blast. The 10 % increase to base Shock Therapy range isn’t enough to me. It should be a 25% increase (basically Moldy Electrode but without the charge time increase). I also think that the Static Blast cooldown is still too long. It should be between 30 and 40 seconds.

As for his speed, he doesn’t feel any faster to me.

I really like his Wax Warlock skin as well, and I use his Hallowed Blight weapon because it fits with the glowing/orange theme.

Ok, just had a game as Doc, and honestly I'm not that impressed. Maybe it's because I don't have a good build on him, maybe it's all the Calm Spirits I've been seeing, I'll try him again once the Calm Spirit usage goes down.

He's no faster than he ever was. He just doesn't have the huge slowdown when using shock therapy anymore.

Really? I've played with him now for some time and he does not feel any faster than any other 115% killer. No idea what would cause you to think he moves faster.

However, I do think he might actually be the next viable killer in the game. Even without old Ruin. He's just so good and so fun to play as.

I've been loving the new doctor, and I can agree he does seem to move much quicker than he used to. I love his Add-Ons (Iridiscent King for mass chaos), and combining terror radious boosts, it was literally a madhouse. Honestly, I've never enjoyed Doctor as much as I have since this update. Both playing as and against. Despite the huge 'I hate Ruin' Movement bringing a lot of negativity to the patch, the Doctor update hits a huge mark for me!

I agree he's no faster. I think it's a perception change since he doesn't have to be slower to use the shock. I noticed last night that survivors were trying for an extra loop as though I was moving at 110 speed. It allowed me to get extra hits in loops when I really shouldn't have.

Probably. Or it's just an insanely weird occasional bug. Just played a match against Doc, and he was not going any faster than any other killer.
