Was Billy ever hard to play?
So I come back from a long break and notice they made a training wheel Billy with a high pick rating. In what world do people think it's hard to play this guy. Even tho billy power is more frequent at least it takes more USER control and skill, this oni character lacks all those checkboxes. I'm sorry oni mains.

Oni is entirely unique, hate to break it to you.

The only unique part about its base is that you need to earn the power which isn't even that difficult. The hardest part is picking the right situation to down multiple ppl with it and slug a majority of them in the process.

They’re different. You could argue Oni has similar mechanics to Leatherface and Myers, too.

I dunno about more user control and skill.
Oni has very similar abilities to Hillbilly, but requires effort in order to get his power active. His power also works the same way as Hillbilly's. In fact, I'd say that Oni has more user control and skill and Hillbilly, considering you have more control over his instant-down power, and still have a dash with instant down to boot.
Oni is harder to play as Billy, and that's just fact. You are a basic killer until you have people bleeding out all over the floor, and then you have a power. Your dash has a wind-up has him, and not quite as much or the same amount of turning, but your other mode of instant-down is literally your lunge.

Not from what I’ve seen. He’s a basic killer used by newbies to get 4ks easy.

I don't feel like Oni is that strong. He literally has no power at the start of the game. Sure, his demon form is powerful, but that's because it only lasts a short while.
I'd rather face Oni than Billy tbh.

The more I get on the forums the more I understand why the game is in such poor shape. For the last time, to play Billy effectively requires a lot of skill.

Billy is easy to pick up and learn the ability, pretty difficult to master (like most killers)

I never said it didn't require skill, but that effectiveness just comes more naturally for some on Billy. Billy is nasty with addons, but at least it takes more effort than I'm seeing with Oni. Once you get your power on oni is it really up to debate about which is easier to land???????
Pick the right moment to use it and slug multiple people in one unsafe area and you basically win the game with minimal effort.

Oni’s ability is way stronger than Billy’s. But it comes in bursts. I can use him with no add ons too so he’s a killer I’ll be sticking by.
