Rank 1 Achievement without being Rank 1?

I was playing survivor (rank 7) and suddenly got the survivor rank 5 and rank 1 steam achievements at the same time. Then in the next game (still playing survivor), I got the rank 5 killer achievement even though the highest rank I've been as killer was 6 and I wasn't even playing killer to begin with.

Is this some kind of bug? Has it happened to anyone else? And is there a way to get those achievements taken away so I can earn them myself when I actually reach rank 5 or 1?

    This is a known issue, and the devs are currently working on a fix - https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/122269/reported-issues-3-5-0#latest

    As for whether it's possible to "undo" a Steam achievement, it doesn't seem to be possible without using third-party software which is forbidden by VAC.

    I never complained about the tons of mistakes that came with every patch, including the killer nerfs. In the meantime, I am really disappointed about how sloppy work is being done at BHVR. How can it be that every small change in area A causes serious damage in area B?! 

    For example: You "change" Freddy and Oni last patch -> Wraith's and Spirit's lunge boost is bugged. Then u fix wraith and spirit -> Freddy's and Hag's traps are bugged now. Can you explain to me there? 

    So far I have ignored it, but the achievement bug clearly go too far. Back then, as a casual player, I had to work hard to get these achievements. Especially for Rank 1 killer. And now every Noob, especially people never playing killer, gets it in his butt. How do you want to make up for that ?!
