what are the thoughts for killers who need time to set up?

I play both survivor and killer equally.

After the patch (*personally speaking i like ruin patch, i think it should have been changed but i wanted other perks or game speed to be slowed down, its too fast right now)

I've been playing ghostface a lot recently trying different combinations of perk to find what I can do. Before ghostface i played trapper, wraith, cannibal, and clown. I am not sure if its just for me but killers who needs a time or who have no chase abilities are really having hard time right now.

When I played ghostface, there is literally no time for me to use the stalk to make survivor exposed. Even if I was able to do it, if survivor is just little good enough to use pallets, they can hold me more than min or two easily. I asked my friends who play killers about other killers as well but those who play Myers, Clown, Hag. They also said same thing. Myers have same problem. Hag and clown, if survivors use pallets they can hold killer for more than 2 min and 3 or more gens just pop up.

As a killer, in the start of the game, if I can't find a survivor and kill them in 60 seconds, the game becomes almost impossible to win. and two hit just running cross the map itself can hold killer at least 30 seconds specially killers who doesn't have any chase. and 1 min in this game = 1 or 2 gen pop up.

what are the thoughts for those killers? I seriously want to know dev's thought so I watched QnA, but all only survivor's side patch not a single killer ones.

Its tunnel to win with Rancor and NOED.

You tunnel 1 guy to death, if you can, then find Rancor. If survivors want to mess with you, they can gift you 3rd kill, NOED.

I do a fair amount of trapper at red ranks, and I use corrupt intervention + brutal + bamboozle + random 4th perk, usually monitor and abuse / whispers / pop.

I swear by the corrupt intervention. It gives you some breathing room at the start of the game, similar to old ruin. I don't really chase anyone, maybe give them a smack to get them off gens while I set up shop at a 3 gen somewhere. But I have brutal + bamboozle for some really nasty chase potential if I need it.

No reason to go on some super long chase when you can end chases in 5 seconds with the traps, or not even have to chase at all, just going to a trap to collect your hook. Once you find a good 3 gen to defend, you just trap literally every pallet or chokepoint in the area, and the whole place is a death zone.

Someone like ghostface, I always do corrupt + whispers + bamboozle + random 4th perk, usually pop goes. Whispers, with a few hundred hours of use, lets you pinpoint survivors at the start of the game instantly and check generators at lighting speed. You know if you should be sneaking up to a gen or not for a stalk, or just moving off without even going into that area.

Bamboozle is just god-tier on M1 killers, and shut's down so many loops once you have some practice with it. Pop goes to help control a 3 gen if it comes down to it, and for some early/mid game slowdown as well.
